All the radios have about the same range, and you won't need it. You can't fly a heli that far away from you because you can't see it.

There are lots of camera systems that transmit to your camera on the ground, or you can put the camera on the heli if it is small enough. The only problem is the spray coming from the exhaust. Messes up the lense fast.

All the radios signals are regulated to the same strength, so in theory they are the same......but I think its probably safe to assume the better radio it is, the better its tuned, and therefore has a better signal it has. Just buy the best radio you can afford, by one of the main manufactures. Futaba is a safe bet.

They make video cameras that transmit a signal to a recording device/monitor, that weight practically nothing. Do a search for "wireless video transmitters" for those. Thats the only camera system I think I would consider for a heli, the only other option is to strap a video camera to the heli, which I have also seen done. Both digital cameras for still photos, and video. The pictures I have seen from both are super high quality, although I imagine the equipment is super high dollar too!

Walmart also has a pen cam that takes pretty good pictures for about $40 from what I remember. My boss bought one. Pretty cool!

You guys are awesome!! I remember that thingie at Walmart! Thanks for reminding me! You see, here is what I have planned:
Once I get the heli built, I am gonna fly it from the lake shoreline to my friends boat in the water and take pictures (preferably a mini movie) approaching the boat and my friends reactions as the Heli approaches and many other things too! I am just curious what you guys think: What all COULD I do with a camera equipped Heli?

Better get really good on it before you try it. I fly mine on floats from the boat, but if you are not really good, you could dump it into the boat and man, that would be a bloody horror movie.

There are a ton of things you can do with it. It will take you a year of hard work to get good. If you fly every day you can cut that down, if you fly once ever other month, better add some to it.
It isn't something you can just go out and do.

Like I said earlier though, the oil spray makes a mess of a lense in a hurry.

PG.

Pleeeeaaaase check out the info pages on www.heliproz.com

They have great reveiws on most comercially available helis including that one (but the color is spray paint)

These postings of pictures asking what they are, are really going to drive folks bananas again.

Your task, should you accept, is to identify it from info on heliproz.com please. please. please check it out.

Its a Raptor, unless someone put a Raptor canopy/body on a different brand heli. It is generally pretty easy to distinguish a heli simply by the body/canopy. Each separate manufacture uses relatively distinctive shapes, I haven't seen too many different brands that look even slightly similar, EXCEPT for the scale bodys. The full fusalage scale bodys could contain almost any brand heli, and its impossible to tell without looking inside the body.

Looks like a raptor head and canopy alright. The gear looks different though. Maybe it is an after market gear or just the way the pic looks. Nice looking bird though. Has some of the metal upgrades too! Thats always good.

Buy a simulator thats all I can say and stop crashing your real heli. When your proficient on the simulator (40+hours at least), then fly the heli. Thats my best advice!

rozzibandit, are you saying there is not a club within an hours drive that you can get help at? There has to be someone. I learned on my own and it is possible, but if you can get help, get it. Saves a lot of frustration. Get G2 as well. It helps a lot.

Hello rozzibandit,

you might check for a local club BUT i really recommend you to get a simulator, too. BUT do not get RealFlight.

REFLEX SIMULATOR simulates a lot better. had both. (www.reflex-sim.com)

Well i went to the above site and had a look at it and
i didnt find any place that said you could play online
with the reflex. Thats one negative against it in my opinion.
