Rich was on the video camera and I am told by Marc S that Dom will be helping out with an edit. I will be sure to post as soon as its available. It was a typical English day of Cold, Windy and 90 degrees cross and a overcast backdrop but hopefully it will come out ok.
I only managed two flights, as we were doing lots of P-20 flights with the Stinger and Habu 32, but it felt pretty much nailed, right off the board. Awesome toy!

LOL, That works for me Soinc It flies even sweeter than it looks!
I tried a short/ aggresive take off on the second flight. I would estimate that it rotated at 50-60m ( Cross wind ) although I did get a little carried away and over pull. It just started to bite, but easily caught which was a pleasant surprise!

This Photo shows the 1.9 at the start of a Knife edge loop. It finished it just fine. It was a manoeuvre that I started thinking "Hell, why not. I have never seen a jet do it and it probably wont, but lets see how far we get" I was smiling ear to ear when it came out the bottom as sweet as could be!

This was a test flight full of surprises ( All good thankfully) but one of the biggest was how well powered it was with the Jet Cat P-80 Se. We knew from the 2M Skymaster Viper that it should be a good choice for the Futura. But how good, shocked us all. One of the jet guys was convinced it was a P120, before I told him it was just an 80. The 80 Se is such a sweet, quiet and smooth turbine. In the Futura it had more than enough vertical ( out of sight from a straight pass ) and the top speed, whilst not Bandit quick, was more than enough for me, and substantially more than it's bigger brother... Even with a 200 SX fitted!

Days like today, make me realise i have the best job in the world, and am happy to share it! Great toys are there to be enjoyed by all.
Celery... I am hoping to break it ( just a little ) so that way I dont have to let it go to its new owner

Sometimes, you just know from the start that a plane is "right" other times you know they need work to make them how you like them. The 1.9 Futura is just so close to perfect. A few clicks of trim and it was ready to display. It took everything that I could throw at it.. even the hard negative snaps.
I will have trouble sleeping on my front tonight
Jeremy... Ahhhh Essex boy! That explains it I cant comment, both my kids were born in Essex! Let me know if anything is a go for a NZ jet meet. I would love to get out there one day.
Regards Al

Here it is coming out the bottom of the knife edge loop! Even under this most extreme of flight conditions, notice the lack of coupling on aileron and elevator. I reckon 2% rud-ail mix will make knife edge horizon to horizon a one handed affair!

Is the missing dark blue stripe on the left wing intentional?

Ah you haven't read all of the thread then . We spotted it at about 3.30am and then forgot to put it on, I think being half asleep might of had something to do with it. Now Sverrir has bought it, it's classed as intentional LOL
