A couple pics of the cockpit progress so far. I'll have to get some sheeting done before I go any further so I can cut out a section of the crutch and the one bulkhead cross piece. Gblas, no negative side effects of cutting out the crutch???

Also the collar clamp setup and backwall. You can see where the crutch will get in the way...

hey lins. once you have some of the sheeting on around the cockpit you can cut all that part of the crutch away. thats what i did without any issues. it doesnt move at all.the crutch system is similar to how nick ziroli airplanes are built. the crutch is there for alignment purposes, after that it is not needed. ..did the same also with the otter.not worried at all because once the skin goes on this thing you will see how strong it really gets..

the wood is for a VHF antenna on the bottom of the fuse...the brass tubing runing through it is the main vent/overflow for the fuel tanks....one hides the other

Photos and video would be great! I think I've seen that video before. I'm not a fan of gusty winds like that. Strong and steady is fine, but not gusty.

This weekend's progress. Finish this plank, install the one on the opposite side, open up the cockpit area, and then continue on the tail again...
