http://www.okhobby.com/product.php?id_product=1038

Looks every bit the redcat but cheaper

same chassis, different power system. the motor in that one is a finned out 380! not a true 540 like the redcat. the redcat motor is also of higher KV.
also, you have to add on the $60 for shipping. making it about the same cost as the redcat.

yeah as I had said he does want the electric instead of the nitro , but like myself he has a lot of engine tuning experience so Nitro wouldnt be an issue as for as hassle and tuning, he just wants something quiter for running around the house where he lives, lots of retireis out at the lake and he figures he might rile some of them up with a Nitro buzzing around there.

He also wants a truck and not a buggy so I fugred I might steer him toward the new 2WD stadium truck that will be out next month, I mentioned the Backdraft 8E to him but he wants a truck and doesnt want to spend $300 but who knows his mind changes like the wind at times so no telling what he will end up with.........LOL!

some of redcat's models are made by other manufacturers. then redcat imports them, re-brands them and provides the parts support and customer service for them.

i dont really care where they are made. the are nice models at a good price. works for me!

I have a couple 2WD and they're just fine & fun, I like both..... the 2WD is a little trickier steering on some surfaces like (grass) but thats part of the fun, keeping it running straight in the direction you are trying to go, I think the 2Wd drive will make a better driver out of someone because of this challenge, just mu opinion though I'm not a Pro at this at all.

The way I am is, if it has wheels on it I'm gonna have fun with it somehow, and to me thats what it is all about, I dont take it so seriously that I cant have fun and I dont think it takes a $500 or $600 vehicle to do it with.

Do you have a 2WD or have you ever ran a 2WD Stadium Truck?
If not get one and you'll have loads of fun with it, less to go wrong and easier to fix....! another plus to the 2WD's

I had thought about the buggy but I was thinking that the truck might do better when I got off coarse into the thick of things because of the little bit-a extra ground clearance.

I could be wrong about this, because even my Nitro Sport trucks have a hard time when they get in the taller thicker grass, thats probably typical of the 2WD's anyway, buggy or truck.

But let me tell ya...when my Backdraft 3.5 is going it would take a tree to stop it, it will tare over just about anything in it's path, of coarse so far my experience is that it is usaully broke by the time it gets to the other side but it really has the power with the 4WD to take on some taller thicker grass without even blinking an eye, thats why I wont so bad to get this thing more dependable then it will be an awesome buggy....

Now you got me second guessing the truck for the buggy, I've already got 2 2WD trucks and a 4WD Buggy, maybe the 2WD buggy will be my choice.........dang-it Nitro see what you did to me............! now I dont know what I wont........! maybe i'll just save my pennies and get both..........!

End of conflict....
