Gerry,

The carbon fiber parts arrived today and look very good. Thanks.

I've noticed a few posts referring to reinforced cowls. My cowl is OK, and I've reinforced it further with baffles to aid cooling, so I really don't think I need a new cowl.

I'm still trying to figure out however, what happening with the struts that were promised last year. I'm one of the customers that paid full price when the 50 cc version was first introduced, and then the price was later discounted to reflect the lesser quality of the ARF's that came in on the first shipment. Perhaps you can fill me in as to the status with Robart...

Bob

Got a tip with Robart today...they just replaced their production manager so maybe things may be changing with Robart...we should be so lucky since we pay their bills

I called and talked to a fellow named Ale and placed an order for custom made struts like the picture below for my 30cc version.  He worked with me to help fine turn the design and place the order.  He stated it should only be a few days to have them made and shipped.  This is much more responsive than in the past.  From this it looks like they are cleaning up their act.

Gerry,
Thanks for getting the cowl out to us.
All we need now is the new gear and we'll be able to get this puppy finished.

Gerry,
Please also make sure that the Updated cowl and wheel pants are included on my order. They were not listed on the invoice you sent at the start of last month. These were also parts that you told me specifically you would replace over 9 months ago.

Thank you

I am also in the same boat I was one of the very 1st to pay full pop for this ARF 50cc version. Was promised upgraded parts and struts and have yet to see anything.
To say I'm Frustrated would be an understatement.

Well I have scanned through most of the thread and have gone through the disk supplied with the kit.  I can not find the recommended Control throws for the 30cc version.  Does anyone know them or at least let me know what you have set yours up with.

Here are a few pics of the gap on my top hatch.  It is bowed upward.  I only worry it may cause a problem by putting undue stress on the securing bolts.  I have soked the fusalog blocks in CA and epoxied on a ply doubler.  I hope that will take care of it.

I am near to completion.  I put my smoke pump on the inside bolted to the hatch I made for the hole in the bottom of the firewall.  The brass coils on the exaust tubes are to preheat the smoke oil.

I have two Li-Ion batteries one on each side of the engine box and a voltage regulator inside the fusalog with one of those failsafe switches.

Pretty much the only thing left is to install the landing gear.  That will take a bit of time for I am doing olie struts from Robart.

These are for the 50cc. They are the prototype. There is a little change that has to be done.

Beautiful job guys, hopefully you will post a video of the flight.
How hard are the Bee Gees to fly?
Thank you!

At this time we only have the prototype of the 50cc GB struts... I have been trying to contact Robart, But all I get is voice mails and never a call back.....

The GB's fly really good.... You do have to use the rudder and keep a little power on landing. The really big thing is to make SURE the wheel pants are straight! If not, it will pull to that side.

Control throws are:
Ail. - 3/4 up and down
Rudder - full side to side
Elev. - 1 1/4 up and down
Expo....... Sorry, on that one... I don't use any

The 30cc rocks.  Mine started with DLE55 best prop 21x10
Then need the motor for something eles and put a BME 50.  A little more heavy but I put a smoke system in Wich made it CG great.
Everyone stops to see my bird.

Cg with DLE 55 requires no lead in the back

Used 4-40 pull pull wire and some bigger tires.

so far 50 flights and no damage to landing gear.

Mike

Here are a few pictures of my current progress. Just showing off my homemade decals.  I am still waiting for my struts. Robart says they shipped last Friday.

Are the control throws for the 50 or the 30 version?

Gerry,
Has there been any updates on the parts I am in need of?

If you recall when I ordered this plane so, so long ago you and I had a long conversation with regards to how I was treated by Troy built models when my 50cc Corsair showed up crushed in shipping. How I was unable to get any type of help and basically had to eat the kit even after UPS paid them for the damages which I never saw a penny of. You promised me at that time that you were going to do things differently and if I ever had any type of issue you would take care of it ASAP. Gave me your word and said customer services was your #1 priority. So again I will ask as we approach 10 months since I have asked for your help with this plane. Is there any type of ETA for the parts so I can build my plane?
