News from germany...
My fuselage is to soft to strech the bracing. So we glued 2 cfk-bars inside.
Maybe the reason is the new/light fuselage???

Hello Andreas... Congrats on finishing it! PLEASE PLEASE save your Engine!!!!!! On this Plane Engine combo, You will need to Baffle the Engine before you fly or you may over heat the Motor Causing Sever Damage. The Cowl is Huge and the Majority of the Air will go around the engine and not through the Cylinders like it needs to to properly cool the Moki. If the Cowl was smaller it wouldnt be an Issue. I was talking to Gots From Areo Scale and he has had a Few of these motors Come back to him for Overheating repairs, And the motor was used in the Carf Gee Bee! So please, Save your Engine and Baffle it so the Air Passes through the Cylinders and not around the Engine. WE WANT VIDEO!!!

Hello, thanks for this tipp. Tomorrow i make first taxidrives on ground. Than i will meassure the temperature.
At last the engine was build in a SU31 airworld. The cowl was a little bit smaller. There was no temp-problem.

I believe another problem for the moki's is to small prop and to high turn.
Youtube is full of moki 250 vids you can see 30" scale-props and high turns.

With my SEP 32x18 the engine turns on ground 4.300 U/min.

But again, thanks for this tipp - a will take a look to temperature.

Hi, I'm about to put the door on my R2, can anyone post some photos of their door, from the inside please.  And also are people using the spring latch with the door?  Or are y'all using something else?  thanks!

Bad news from me:

Start and flight very good. Only some clicks to trim.
Than after ca. one minute one flying wire solved... The left wing flow away and the geebee in same direction.

Plane flow great. Problem was building

Andreas! Im So sorry to hear about your loss Wow Man, I dont know what to say... I know the flying wires are THE most important part of the Building Process... They need to be Perfect! Some People have drilled a small hole through the wire end and installed a steel pin after Brazing their Wires for added Strength to their Wires. I am so Sorry Andreas. Was there anything Salvageable? Did the Moki Survive?

Hello,

We was so sure, that the wires was solved well - one of them not...
After first check the moki is nearly without damage, only the ten pushrods are out of order.

****, the Geebee flow short, but so great... Only some clicks to trim...

There is a video from start and the first seconds. I hope, i get it the next days.

I am still shocked

I did come up with and easy way to get the 120 degree angles between the mounting bolts and that is to use the cowl mounting tabs as a guide
