Hey everyone,
I am going to try using the House Of Kolor paints. I was thinking about using the Kandy Koncentrates with the intercoat clear. What do you guys think about this. The reason I wanted to do it this way is that it seems to be the most bang for the buck. If I understood right there is 20 Kandys that you can mix. There is a on line retailer who is selling a kit with 20 kandy's, 1qt intercoat,1qt reducer, 3 basecoats and some other misc stuff for $119.00. I was thinking it would be a good starter kit. What do you guys think? Any advise would be appreciated!!!!
Thanks, Brandon

Sounds like the deal over at innate. I do that exact thing. I use the candy concentrate and the sg-100. this lets me custom mix colors to match what ever I like. You can also make small qtys. Make sure you get a nice metallic base also. If you need any tips on spraying it shoot me an email questions@canopyfx.com

Hi I do work for the boat builders in New England one of them build off shore racers and they paint with HOK and Dupont. They told me you should spray the color coats as is. Then spray the clear coat, that way you get the best finish possible. In fact there was write up in Power Boat Mag. about them , after they finish painting for the day I get to have any left over paint I need. Now thats a good deal -because some of those colors cost hundreds of dollars a can depending on color. One note they said is that when mixed the paint will last a few hours or at the most one to two days depending on color. For $120 that a real good deal go for it. BUT make sure a good filter mask made for that paint.

Thanks guys, I am going to get the kit and go from there I already have a airbrush, HVLP gravity feed touch up gun, PPG clearcoat and 3m mask. I just have been being stubborn cause I have alot of the Createx paint and I like the colors but it is too hard to work with. Here's a pic of a canopy I did recently.
