Hello Ricardo, The new Xurama is on its way, with some small changes from this one. I will post pictures when I start, but still YS Power. I tried electrics and it doesn´t work for me. I find there is plenty of more power and much much much much more torque with a YS 175 than with any electric set up I have tried.

also another reason: It should be punished by law to fly a biplane with anything else than a 4 cycle!

Thanks

TUNY

Hi Tuny , I'm just starting with my xurama armed, because I was short of time and when I see the wings these are all along a depth of 5mm as if to pass the servo cable but in the whole scale of wing tip to tip and then the core of polystyrene is very fragile. The model was your way? it strikes me that the only thing you could do to fix it without adding much weight would be placed along the entire wing on the draft brings a 5mm carbon tube. do you think? if not understood you upload a picture to see.
thanks for all
Alejandro.

Alejandro, thatis the cavity for the servo wires, yes, it goes all the way to the wing tip, you can leave it like that, there is no structural damage whatsoever.

Ese es el calado para pasar los cables de los servos, dejalos tal cual estan, ya que no representan ningun riesgo estructural.

Saludos!

Hello All!

After hundreds of flights on this biplane which is the best I have flown I decided to try to make some modifications of my own to create my own version and change a few things.

First also YS power, in my opinion is the only way to power a bipe, the power its incredible, the sound, smoke etc, all help to create a beautiful flight presentation, but this time no top hatch on the fuselage (i just glued permanently the supplied hatch and made a new one on the bottom)

then completely redesigned wings and stabs, this to get rid of the mixing and to enhance the awesome qualities of this bipe even more.

- more wing area
- new wing shape
- increased wingspan
- different airfoil
- smaller stabs

my goal was, better snaps (more crisp) better spins, both are incredible easy to stop
reduce coupling on rud-ail and rud-elev they are both almost gone, some fine tuning and rud-elev should be gone, rud ail will be gone on a future version.

I have to thank Bryan Hebert for all his help in this project! THANKS BRYAN!!!

some pics.
