Just wanted to clear the air about something bothering me guys..

Here recently I expressed a very negative amount of frustration about a couple things reguarding the Redcat Racing Products & the Advertising of them on YouTube.

I was completely wrong in the way I vented my frustrations on this forum, I got sucked into the moment with another member who was very upset about their issues with a Redcat Vehicle and I went way over board with my venting....... and in the proccess of it all the whole reason I was initially drawn to the Redcat Product got clouded over by the ( Pardon ME here ) BS that was in the air, this will not happen again and I hope that anyone who read any of my rants and was offended will accept this apology.

I was frustrated and in turn became a bumbling idiot about it........Sorry Guys I was being very unfair to Redcat Racing and to the members on this great Forum which has through many of you members provided me with loads of help and great advice and for that reason and for the reason that I was just flat wrong I am humbling myself now and just eating the crow.....!

Peace and thanks to everyone here who is making this Redcat & all the other Threads such a great place to be tuned in too.

Shan

it happens to us all some times.
it can be easy to get caught up in venting frustration, and sometimes we type things we dont really mean. im guilty of the same thing!

but it is good to admit mistakes. helps us not to repeat them

Yes to all you said Nitro...... and it's the right thing to do, we confess our faults to be made well from them, not the easiest thing to do most of the time, but when we're wrong we should be man enough to admit it and move forward with more understanding of how we got to that place a make a solid effort not to go there again.

Thanks for the understanding Nitro........Now lets get on to the fun of....... run.....repair......run.......!

im dying for good weather so i can take my earthquake 8E out and see what she can really do!
recently, i have only been running my rock crawlers, as they are fun in the snow going up snow banks an such.
my rs18 has really impressed me. its almost as big as my KM baja and does really well right out of the box.
i also just got a pair of axial ax10's which i started to mod. they are also alot of fun in the snow. i think i may put a waterproof VXL system in one, and leave the other on brushed but use a waterproof xl-5 ESC.

It's gonna be in the upper 50's tomorrow and mid to upper 60's Sunday through about Wed. or Thurs. this next week here in  Central Texas, I have a few things I need to do around the house, but as soon as I can get loose I'll be bust-in out the Backdraft and one of the Nitro Sport Trucks for a little good weather running.

Sorry to bring up the nice weather we are gonna be having.... I know how much you guys up north want to get out and play too, but it wont be to long maybe before your weather will give you the oportunity to get out.

Nitro you're speaking another language to me about all the electronics, is the VXL system you mentioned the Traxxas Waterproof RX and the Traxxas waterproof ESC?

I'm still learning about this stuff...I havent been doing it long enough yet to know whats what on much of it and what parts are compatible upgrades and such.

any reciever can be waterproofed just by putting it in a ballon.

the VXL system is a brushless ESC and motor that are waterproof. they also have a brushed xl-5 esc that is waterproof.

traxxas also has waterproof servos.

i have the 23cc KSRC. i have been happy with it. the kill-switch can stick in sometimes. the stock tires are alittle cheaper made than the HPI's(blew one apart after 6 tanks) but the motor/drivetrain suspension and chassis have all held up very well.
mine was like $550 shipped. much cheaper than a HPI version. it may not be as fast, never had a HPI owner to race mine against. but, its pretty quick IMO! i have the KM tuned pipe on it and is sounds awsome.
i still have a bunch of spare parts that came with it that i havent had to use yet. i probly have 10 tanks through it.

You are seriously making me jealous ;we have not had weather above 30 degrees in like 3 months but we are supposedly getting some weather between 40-50 degrees Tue-Fri and Thur-Fri it's suppose to rain and those days the temps are gonna be between 45-50.
I have not run my rc cars in over 3 months and hopefully all 4 of those days with the decent temps will be dry.

It was sort of justified in a way; I mean I know his frustrations but the thing is I have had frustrations only with brands other than Redcat believe it or not.
I have had a few with my Redcat Aftershock 8E but I have had more with my Slash 4x4 and both my Savages (XSS and Flux).
By starting a thread to apologize shows everyone he's a good guy and 1ofmyfuns has even helped me out plus he is not the guy who was complaining and totally bashing the Redcat name it was that TXdrivER guy who started the "Problems with Earthquake 3.5" thread.

Thanks for all the understanding guys.....I know I am in a great group of people on here and I just got to feeling bad about some of the things Ihad said, yes I kinda got agged on by other stuff that was being said and it just fed my own frustration but, I could have handled it better and not gone on and on about things like I did, the last thing I want to do is create enemies and distrust on this forum, I enjoy it very much and I still need a lot of help myself, so I need to have a good online relationship with you guys on here that have all the experience and know how that will help me solve my issues and also give me the knowledge to help others just like I've been helped.

I'm not all slumped over in sorrow here but I felt I was wrong and I wanted to make things right, I wasn't being fair even though I still stand firmly on some of the points I made.
It's important in my opinion to operate in life with a clear concience before man and ones faith, this is my intention here with what I have said and I mean it totally & completely.

Thanks again everyone and lets Talk RC stuff now..............................!

Peace, Shan

Everyone has the free ability to get on a manufactures case. Red cat is here and see's. ( thats why post disapear ). Frustrations mount and I fully feel a manufactures needs to see and know what people think. Redcat sees it and in the past has done nothing to increase quality ( you get what you pay for ). Part support and CS has been horrible. I live in AZ and have a good friend  that works for redcat and he can't even believe the stuff they do. They can't even get products into the local shops.

My Matco tools dealer came to the shop one day and had redcat products on his truck. I was like ****...what a joke. A tech of mine went into debt with one of them and the thing had major airleaks and wouldn't hold a tunes. I fixed it but what a hunk O Junk.

You shouldn't have to apologize but I do thank you for your class.......Class redcat doesnt deserve. I dont see many I LOVE MY REDCAT threads start on this forum LOL

As you can see the hatred toward this company never ends and I bet you have never owned a Redcat and plus Redcat does not even make the engines SH does.

um, what disapearing posts are you talking about???
redcat workers do look at this forum and help people out. i have never seen that from traxxas or HPI(not saying it hasnt happend, just saying i have never seen it myself. and i have been on RCU for years!)

why would you expect to see a bunch of I LOVE MY REDCAT threads in a "support forum"!?!?
this is a forum for redcat owners who have an issue or question to post.

look in the traxxas/hpi forums and you will see the same flippin thing! a bunch of post by owners of said brands who have an issue or a question.
and if you actually read a thread or 2 you would find several RCU members who love their redcats.

i imagine you are like my LHS's owner. you compare redcat producst to vehicles that cost 2-3 times as much.
you have judged a company on 1 or 2 nitros that didnt run right?
how many traxxas/hpi owners do i know with a nitro model sitting cause the motor is toast?
especially when it comes to nitros, a POS one isnt always the mfr's fault. many a noob ruin a brand new nitro within the 1st week do to lack of knowledge.
if you dont know what you are doing, it wont matter how good the truck is!

i have 6 redcat RC's right now. i have been impressed with all but 1 of them. each has proved to be a fun rc.
and any issues i had with quality control(did have a radio DOA, and 3 servos fail) redcat quickly replaced!

but there will always be some who cant except that lower-cost redcat's are good RC's.

it hurts to much to admit that your $250 slash is slower than my $190 caldera

There is a reason you guys arnt in the normal MT forum. Your too busy complaining about the 350.00 POS you bought. The sad thing is the OP could have purchased an MGT 4.60 for the same price or for 50.00 he could have had a Savage X which is known to be the very best basher and toughest truck you can buy. You guys buying this stuff is getting Dooped by Redcat on top of it your only gettong a .21. Read through this forum and it should be an eye opener.

No I dont and would not own a Redcat. I know many people with them and My good friend and pro racer works for Redcat. I know the scoop very well.

Instead of replacement part you guys could be buying hopups and having real fun with your vehicles. I se way to many get discouraged when purchasing a redcat and have problems. Then the vehicle sets on the shelf and they dont use it or enjoy this hobby. It's a truely sad thing, if you want to buy a decent product still inexpensive buy and XTM and stay the hell away from Redcat.

Any Newbies reading this I hope your comprehending all of this and look elsewhere. I myself would like to see you in the hobby for a long long time. In the end if you have the money to buy a Redcat product you have the money to also purchase better quality products with parts support and CS. AE, losi, HPI, and XTM all have product that are far superior then Redcat for not much more money. Do your homework and ask questons before purchasing.
I promise you, there is noway the OP would purchase another redcat product....even after his apology

i love my earthquake 8e even though it;s had a few issues.  to each their own, why would you want to make people feel bad about their purchase?  seems odd and borderline insecure to me.  if you don''t like redcat, then go buy another brand, whatever brah.  lighten up this is a forum about freaking toys.

ENJOY!!

I have done my homework when comparing Redcat with so called major and far superior brands and I came to the conclusion that buying an rc is just like buying a real car or just about anything else you purchase nowadays .
For example I like FORD and my friend likes Chevy because he's says they are far superior to Ford; but are they really?
You would never buy a Redcat because you have to maintain an image as consumer who only buys the so called major and far superior brands.
When I was younger I would only buy the $100+ expensive Nike's basketball shoes why because they were popular and everybody had them and nowadays I just go with the $50 pair of Nike's and honestly they are just as good or pretty close quality wise as the more expensive Nike shoes I used to purchase and I think it's the same thing with this hobby.
My point is I understand the point you are trying to make; I have HPI,Traxxas and Redcat and I do not see any difference if you think there is do a side by side comparison test and prove it an post it on this thread with videos pics, etc.
