Whats the Battle of Britian without Screamin Stukas???? They could've atleast had sirens and lots of pyro. Best leave the simulated WWII battles to Americans airshows...

Fantastic just fantastic...

Great link mate.

Duxford just has this magical feel to it and to have seen 4 hurri's or 16 spits at once in person over a WW2 airfield would have been just an unbelieveable event to be at.

Something that can't be made up with by just blowing stuff up...

Thanks

Dave

That didnt look like much of a "simulated" WWII battle.. looked more like an airshow commemorating  the Battle of Britain.. Also, there are only two Stukas left on this earth that are restored to any decent looking condition.. I am unsure of the airworthiness of either.. It would be neat to see one fly, but for now, I am plenty satisfied with what they had at Duxford..

Hey, I think I have seen one of those on a video somewhere... pardon my ignorance, I have not interacted with you so I've no gauge for your posting personality.. foot-in-mouth disorder! Its too bad that something that was so devastating and sinister at the begining of the war be so rare and hard to find now.. I guess there is one that is in really bad shape in a museum in Europe somewhere, perhaps you know of what I am referring to..

can i suggest that the wording under the video is read, to see what the show is all about,     there are also jets, aerobatic aircraft, and helis flying,      its main feature are the veterans of that era,  but they are in short supply,     its an awsome show,    as for pyros,  we cannot have the sainted ground of duxford beng damaged can we?  it was bad enough losing the hangar for the BoB film, (although that film did ispire the warbird preservation movement)  the essence of the duxford shows is the history involved,  not razamataz

look and see if you can see oddities, and raretys,     in that film there is the  oldest spit still flying,  and a strange looking craft in BoB markingscan you find it?

Thanks for the post. With so few of these war birds in flying condition, it would be a treat to have been there in person to see, hear, and smell the heavy metal in action, whatever the nationality.
