What about the landing? The manual says the flap-elevator mixing at full flaps is 2mm down elevator.is that correct to you or you're not using flaps?
How many amp is the batteries you 're using?I think you must have two batteries...

There are pictures and video showing the landing...and the Flap setting!! I have more flap than the manual and more down too. Still need to measure the figures for my conversion manual.
One 1600Mah 2s Li-Po, on each ECU and Rx as the build information. I have on board gas using a micro gas tank which gives around 3 starts. Gas start is very low consumption.

Thanks for letting me play with the Habu ! When the original foam Habu came out it was amazing to fly a small foamie that handled so purely. This is definitely the next evolution of that concept, nice pure flying fun and a "proper" turbine model. I was impressed with the speed range - really nice and slow with the massive throw you've got on the flaps and it doesn't half zip along when throttle turned to "on"

Love it - can't wait to get mine. Next evolution will have twin booms for sure!

Four more flights today on the Habu 32, Now 15 flights completed and reliability has been faultless, as expected.
Photo of fuel level and bubble trap after the last flight today, this flight was 6 min

I am amazed that you don't have any problems with the Tygon slipping off, I find if I don't wire tie mine on they just slip off or let air in, have you done something special to attach them?

The answer to this is very simple you use the correct size Tygon. The smaller size I tend to use on all engines up to a 18 lbler and I force it over the nipples and it never comes off.

Does not matter what size Tygon I use once the oil and fuel gets on it, or under it they slip off, learnt this a long time ago with my petrol engines, can't say Kero is any different.

Seems odd to me cos mine holds on like you would not believe. Perhaps there are different typws of Tygon. It you were to try to pull mine off even a straight pipe you would have one heck of a job. I do however use the very small size though.

Mike

Never wired any of my models, never had a leak! Only use 3.2mm bore 1/8" 4040 Tygon. Once it's been on 24 hours, I would have to put my foot on the tank and stretch with all my strength to get off. What I actually do if I need to remove is "pinch" the tube with bull nose pliers to ravel, then it comes off. Never Never cut it off!
I'm guessing you use straight brass tube, no barb? The nipples I use on this tank are 4.8mm at the barb point, on 5/32" (4mm) brass tube pipes I slip a Dubro solder barb over, these are 5.3mm over the point of the barbs... I think I sent you some free barbs with the ducty tank? They were the 1/8 pipe size ones?
The clunk line in this tank is 1/4" od 4040 tygon with a felt clunk, the line is only 82mm long-Even I thought it might be too short, but as shown by the pixs after a flight with rolls, loops, spins, inverted it's working fine...

Just ordered my Habu 32 with the e flite electric retracts. I am going to go electric first with the recommended setup (Cost £120 excl batt and a cheaper ESC) then if I like it I will bite the bullet and put in a P20 or if I like it electric too much buy another and put in a P20. These certainly are a good little plane.

I do barb my copper pipes, usually I solder a piece of paper clip around the tube and tie behind that, perhaps the barbs are better at holding the Tygon on, I have used the Dubro barbs, but found them difficult to get hold of, will have to try harder to get hold of some and try them on my Kero installations, only ever used them on Petrol previously. I did not find any barbs in with the Ducty tank, perhaps I missed them in the packaging, I have to admit the size of the box was a bit of supprise.

The have multiple ridge/rings, so each of these add a seal, plus they are perfectly round.
We keep both sizes in stock ;-) guess something else to add to the web shop-only another 2000 products and we will be there!
Thought I put them in with the tank package...maybe it was another, too old to remember for sure...

Just found time to charge the Habu 32 Rx Li-Po after 12 flights Saturday/Sunday and it used 394mAh total, so with a 1600mAh Rx battery that's at least 40 flights on a charge.

How much does the ECU/pump use per flight? (gas or kerostart?)

As the post on the previous page, I seem to be using 75-85mAh per flight on the ECU (Gas start) I have a 1600mAh pack on that too.

ah, sorry I missed that part. Alot of numbers, digi switches here and there For the smaller more weight sensitive airframes two 350mah packs would be enough for a couple of flights too then.

Yes, I fly things like my CARF Spark with 480mAh 2s pack and get 4 flights easy. Powerbox switches are great.

The Habu 32 needs the weight, so bigger batteries make sense.

First time off tarmac today with the Habu 32, five more flights. Package really has worked out very well, totally reliable model. Only comment would be need for light colour on the wing/tail LE as everything is dark and on days like today it disappears coming towards you.
