Hello,
Today were the maiden flights of my new 2,5 Futura. The flights were,as expected, absolutely perfect with the recommended settings of Tomahawk ! The engine,a Rhino JetCentral with 17kgs,delivers plenty of power, well enough for me,with unlimited knife edge flight and verticals. The dry weight is only about 16kgs ! The plane was ordered via Als Hobbies, and I want to thank Ali who managed to have a plane for me in a really very short time! The Futura is decorated only with stickers furnished by Duncan, the quality of these stickers is professional .The aircraft was superbly built by my friend Jeff Lallemant, here is the build thread(in french!):http://www.aero-big-scale.com/article-ma-65171879.html.
Also I would like to point out that my plane is equipped with a Futaba receiver 6014HS with the standard antennas in the nose, far from the carbon parts, and I didn't encounter a single glitch during the 3 Flights, although I was a litlle bit worried before !
Regards.Etienne.

Very nice... The decals/stickers look great, gives the aircraft great lines.

Salut !

Félicitations ! Tu as été plus rapide que moi pour le monter (enfin Jeff...) !

As I've buyed the basic kit configuration, I have a little more work to do, and I'm not a really quick builder... With the Ali's build thread and now that french news, I'm in a hurry to finish that plane now... Winter will surely come to stop at a moment...

I will be pleased to meet you in the French meetings !

Bravo !

I have this as one of the colour schemes in mind ( As its a nice design) but really to do this scheme you would need to paint it, as there is very little white, and these Vinyl applied schemes really need to go on a base colour of white.
Now get back and finish your Futura and stop dreaming of colours.
Regards Al

Dôh !

I'm really not as fast as it should be! During the time you've built an entire 1.90m Futura I've only puts servos on the wings of mine...

I need my boss to fire me out to have more spare time !

Thanks all,
I must say ,like I guess most of us,I was not really impressed by the "beauty" of this plane when I first saw it at JetPower! But,when Ali flew
her with the splendid stickers made by Duncan and him,I changed my mind completely... Then, before taking my decision,Ali told me the Futura was the most pure jet he had ever flown, and, once again , he was right,as always...

Hi Guys,
My Futura 2.5m is also ready for test flight.
Mine was completely painted with a P200 for power
I required about  600gms of nose weight to get the CG between the middle and end of the wing tube.
Is this normal ?
How much nose weight did you require

Hello,
I think it is normal,my engine is a Rhino and weighs 1700 g,so much lighter than P200n,and the weight in the nose is about 900 grammes INCLUDING
Batteries. Regards.Etienne.
