  I am building a pusher (bensen style) gyrocopter with a 40 size engine. My question is,I know that pull type aircraft, both gyro's and fixed wing requirs a 2-4 degree down thrust . But what does a pusher engine need for a thrust angle..?   Thanks Terry

I have built an RPG Pusher(electric) and it does need down thrust also. It looks like upthrust from the rear. Look up the RPG on RC Groups.

Status: offline 		Specific to a Bensen Gyrocopter the mast has a 9 degree tilt to the rear. After the machine is built it needs to be hung tested from the rotorhead and with a 50 % load of fuel the mast should have a tilt of between 2 and 6 degrees to be properly balanced for flight.

Jim,
If you have had to add down thrust there is something out of square somewhere, I know of no other RPG that has had this done. It is never a good idea to do this due to the power variations involved which can cause pitch problems.
