Default What I did with my tax return.

Saw this Whalen industrial work bench at Costco, had to have it. Was easy to assemble and is one heck of a workbench.

Looks good, but it sure filled up fast, didn't it?

Very cool, I like that it has wheels. It also looks fairly sturdy, and the storage.

Lol, yes it sure filled up fast. But the nice thing about it, it freed up floor space in my shop since my bench top tools were on the floor. I put my engines and radios in the cabinets to help keep the balsa dust off them. I think next year i'll get this with my tax return to replace my building table.

Why don't you just build whatever you need which could include drawers etc. rather than buy ready mades?

HOW MUCH DID COSTCO CHARGE AND DO YOU HAVE A PART # TO ORDER IT... I WOULD RATHER PURCHASE SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND SAVE MY BUILD TIME FOR PLANES.

I thought about doing that, but at the moment I am renting my house and hope to buy a house with shop next year and this would be easier to move, plus there is the time issue, i would rather build airplanes and I would be hard pressed to build a roll around bench this nice for the same amount of money in materials. When I get my new shop I will build cabinets to store all my building supplies and such. Sometimes, as in this case, ready built is probably better then what I could do.

It was 300.00 plus tax, I priced similar benches, but this one was a great value for the money. Plus it is super heavy duty and will last a lifetime. It is made by whalen and sold at Costco. The part number is 999960. The web site is
http://www.whalenstorage.com. I just checked the web site, this bench was on the site yesterday, but is no longer on the site today. weird. You might want to call Costco to see if they have any left, they were selling fast when i got mine.
