So i got my new picco and i went to install it, and the bottom of the block hits the chassis plate, i have seen where someone put washers under the motor mounts but i wasnt really fond of that, so my question is, what are my options, and does the dynomite engine mount raise the engine a little so this isnt a problem

Thanks

IIRC, there is an engine mount floating around somewhere that did raise the engine enough to clear the chassis plate, but I cannot remember what it was. I would google search "picco LST2". You'll have better luck finding out. The LST2 and XXL use a lot of the same parts, and the LST2 has been around forever..

I think most people use washers even though it kinda goes against better judgment. Thats what I would do - using stainless washers and lots of locktite.

im worried about washers because im worried it will break the ears off the engine, which would suck

It is so close i have thought about grinding the bottom of the block, i mean its like within 1/16 of an inch or maybe even less.

if anything i might build a shim or new mounts.

If the head of the bolt is enough to hold it down then some washers will be enough to hold it up. I know it isn't the right way to do it, but it would work fine. The best thing to do is get a cheap piece of flat stock or sheet metal at lowes and make shims.

Im taking the engine and mounts to work today to see if there is something that i can make work, I would feel alot better if it had something all the way across the mount.

I understand what you are saying just seams like if its not spreading the load all the way across the mount there is a good chance for damage to the engine

Either way ill post up what i find today
