Does anyone know if the de-icer boots attached to the leading edges of the wings and stabs. were electically heated or were they a pneumaticly operated "balloon"?

Thanks,

Mustang

Certainly a pneumatic system where they would inflate every other one, out of 6-8 separate cells in the boot itself. If a leak developed it would likely still knock off ice. Electric or hot air systems are known as anti ice.

Thanks! This has been driving me nuts for some time. I thought they were pneumatic.
