ok here is a better explanation:
slash vibrates and, after being revved up, starts quickly, accelerates, ...

Sounds like it's cogging. Is it a brushless setup?

Tell them to replace it free, since its faulty and your warranty covers it.

I agree. When I got my slash 4x4 a month or so ago the esc stopped going in reverse so I called and got a new one for free after sending my other one in and in the mea ntime of waiting for it to get there get fixed and get shipped back I got a 1/16 summt to hold me over and guess what? that esc was bad too! so I called and told the guy about it and that I just send my slash esc in and he put me on hold called my LHS got back on the line and told me my part will be at LHS tomorrow and to pick it up both esc were replaced for free I think Traxxas has GREAT cust support.

You're assuming it's new. If it was new, you'd be correct. However, it's not, and your request is almost as ridiculous as ThunderbirdJunkie calling Tekin and telling them to replace a faulty G12.

i am thinking to take a break from the velineon system. I was looking at the new castle creations "sidewinder v2" esc. it will cost me 65$ at ebay. it should work directly with the stock velineon motor. what do you guys think? is it better than the velineon esc?

The Sidewinder is going to be heavily taxed in the Slash 4w. Get an MMP.

A 4w SCT pulls a lot of current, and the Sidewinder will get extremely hot in your application. a Mamba Max Pro would be a better, cooler running alternative.

what do you think about the 1415-1y 2400kv sct motor from castle with the mmp? i have to buy something this week. I am leaning more towards this new setup. but dont you think this motor is slower than the stock velineon 3500kv vs 2400kv?

The MMP/2400 combo would be best run on 3S. Or, you have to gear the hell out of it, but it will work fine on 2S.
