Correct me if I'm wrong, but in this thread,

1 opinion neutral,

Oberst (Pete) scores 3 for him and one of those is from Glenn Torrence himself,

Disagreement and some disgust with Oberst - 20

I'll have to go with the majority on this. I always like simple math.

Bob

WTH????
i haven't logged in here at RCU since the 26th of feb. because i just find it to be a place of too many challenging individuals at most every corner. but Oberst you have exceeded in the reason why i no longer post here.
your explanation for why you are flaming Glenn is deserving of a woodshed visit.
how dare you post something like this, and i am really sick and tired of you mentioning Balsa USA and even more so, Proctor. when have you bought anything from Joe?
please be assured that i will let Joe know about this thread so he doesn't end up being slandered like Glenn is.

you are so out of line that it must be sad for your local club to have to listen to anything you have to say.

but i gotta ask, you are doing a Great Planes DR1 restoration are you not?........how do you fit an item from a 1/4 scale DR1 into a 1/5 scale DR1? gonna blame Great Planes later becuase it won't fit?....oh wait, you didn't get it, and never will, so GP is off the hook......whew!!!

Glenn is a very upstanding proprieter and we are extremely lucky to have another American kit maker like him on our soil. but let's bash him so maybe he'll get mad enough and shut down the shop..............that is what you want right?
you though (Oberst) are the very reason why Americans are looked down on..........to me you are almost guilty of Treason.
i had dealings with Glenn that took some time, and he let me know in advance what the situation was.

good grief this is just so wrong..........this entire thread should be removed.

Maybe it would be a good thing for the mfrs. on this site to boycott this JERK (oberst).

May his radios glitch, and the ills of a thousand winds plague this fool.

Oberst,

I think you made your point. You're just making yourself look bad at this point. There is no law stating that a business must sell anything to anyone. Good luck with your discrimination case. That is probably one of the stupidest things I've read on here in a long time.
I think I'm seeing a trend here. I have yet to hear anyone else say a bad thing about GTM, and for good reason. For the record making an ammo can isn't rocket science.

I know Glenn personally, and have done business with him on several occasions. I know for a fact that he is a stand up guy.

His business, like so many other businesses in this industry are small, read that VERY SMALL cottage industry outfits. When little problems hit them, they can easily shut them down for a while. That is the case with him, and he explained that.

BACK OFF.

We are a pretty small community in the grand scheme of things. I do believe we look out for and police each other. The good guys will keep on keeping on and the bad seed ultimately fail.

SOme people just can't help themselves and just belly ache like a spoiled child because they didn't get their way. Most of those type of people are the "I want it now" people.

Reading the OP's post I can see that he
quote:

is that type of person. I think a better title to this thread should be.

WARNING: DONT DO BUSINESS WITH OBERST.

my 2 cents

This Glenn fellow sounds like a top notch guy, took care of both your requests, and was honest about being in the middle of a move, i think i will do business with Glenn in the future based on your post.

No I'm not going to backoff, would you if you were wronged by a business? A company can refuse to do business with a individual legally, but not without due cause when they are still serving the public.

It can be a discrimination case if there's no reason to why a person is singled out without explanation. Suspicion alone is enough for a case and can be used to convict.

I'm sure if any of you were wronged, I don't think you would just drop it.

What I see is some of you are doing alot of butt kissing to Glenn Torrance, never mind the fact that Glenn said he screwed up and that my anger is justified.

Now I see alot of people complain about others like Arizona, seen a few complaints with Great Planes and Sig. But heavens forbid anyone has had bad dealings with Glenn Torrance?

The whole problem was Glenn failed to communicate with me on why he didn't prossess and ship out my order. Glenn also failed to tell me the truth about my order being already in boxes to be shipped, and he failed to tell me the truth when he said he returned my funds. I didn't see my funds returned until BBB was notified.

I wonder on how all you would feel if you ordered something and it didn't show up at your door, and everytime you called or E-mailed the supplier they didn't return any answers?

I'm not saying to anyone to boycott Glenn Torrance, but just keep in mind my business dealings with him wasn't good at all.

I believe most of the responses written here aren't very established. JMHO

Pete

Ok, I think this has gone about as far as it can go and i think everyone has their view on the situation, from here on, we're just beating a dead horse.

If you think you were wronged, take it to court and see how fast it gets thrown out.

Closed.
