New style airboat, aerobarco, hidrodeslizador ou idroscivolante

Looking for a different look airboat, I found a model as pictured below.

I would like to hear from you:

Someone has already built?

Someone has found details of construction?

The plan talks to be fitted with engines of 2.5 cc to 10cc?

Great find. Over on another RC airboat forum there was a project call stingray. It was a front engine hydro kinda like what you would like to build. It posted a speed in 2006 at almost 50mph. I like the way you think and I have been working on plans for a front engine flatty.

I always like to think of something different, like my buildings on plates of fiberglass, or a copy of the photo and create the model as wlclaw airboat, but now found this great find, only that the existing literature on the plant is very horrible, and maybe a little lazy, not yet thought about building, but surely, I was very happy with this find, and sure enough, my next building will not be any model aircraft and another airboat , but certanly the COBRA S.

I found the airboatl a little slow.
Is it because the engine has low compression?

You never wanted to build this airboat?

So I was in doubt, but I think even with an engine in the range .40 ~ .46 the cobra s should go pretty fast.

You don't think about building one?

It looks kinda neat - something I'd consider building... BUT is there any plans written in english? I can't read the PDF file.

I have plans almost complete for a .46 - .60 and a 1.00. Lost interest during the cold season but that might change once I finish the Mods for the Florida MEET.

No, there is no plan in its language, a little effort and goodwill, and with the help of google I think things become easier.

I'm trying to copy each word in Italian increasing and decreasing zoom and then translate into my language, Portuguese, but the drawing is self-explanatory

I'm not so much concerned with the wording in the plans, moreso the dimensions of the material used. All I see in the pictures are letters, and in order to build something you need to know how thick and long of material you need. I suppose one could improvise, but it'd be nice to know what the original designers used and be able to modify the plan from there.. I don't have the time to spend translating word for word into english that set of plans. I'll download it and shelve it for now.. Maybe this summer I'll look into it more.

I think I understand you, what would be a really short list of materials needed in construction, for example, five sheets of balsa 1 / 8 "x3" X 36 ".
This work, for sure I'll have, but with the ease of being familiar with the metric system.

Hi to all.
I'm italian and also, at the moment I'm building my own cobra airboat.
I've bought a Supertigre .51 for my new boat with a three blade prop.
I'll post some pics of my workinprogress soon.
Probabily I've the same plans you have, so.if you need some traslations, just ask
I'll try to help..
On the plans i've got, there is a sheet talking about  the wooden pieces you need.
But not all the piece you need, are listed on that sheet.
Pls allow me some time in rply because I do not connect every day to the net but usually only once or twice a week.
cheers.

Welcome here
Glad you're building this airboat.
I've built some others but I was very interested by this front-engine hovercraft.
If you can send me to the literature of the first page, even in Italian, because it is very unreadable and a list of materials, I am very grateful.
You can send by mp and can write in Italian without problems.

So,
I found the photo of an airboat, I think fiberglass front-engine, which fits in your line of project.

Has anyone tried building one of these this year? I am gonna make this one of my winter projects. Cimabue - did you never find the more-complete materials list?

Then

I'm finishing a prototype in foam, weighing approximately 250 grams without battery, esc and servo with 23.5 inches long, painted with acrylic wall paint and coated with vinyl.

Some pics

So Cimabue,
Have you started to build the hovercraft, and my question is regarding the basic dimensions:
What is the total length with the rudder and without the rudder?
What is the total width?

Regarding the prototype it was made with Styrofoam block and dug in the center so I have a better idea.
Just used acrylic paint wall and then coated with self-adhesive vinyl.

Then,
Did someone already built or encouraged to build cobra S.
I walk no time and with the intention of finalizing two projects pending as the photo below that would be a DIVA with asp 21m and a Crackerbox engine GO25.
