Tomorrow (sunday) is our first JMA (Jet Modellers Association) meeting of the year as guests of the Fakenham club in Norfolk. Can't wait, even with a mixed forecast, large posse meeting up for breakfast on route tomorrow.
This is an early meet so we can try and fit in as many events as possible, our AGM is at the end of this month.
I have a couple oif test flights lined up, looks like 2011 will be a great year for new Jets.

Dave Wilshere
JMA Chairman

Have made a weekend of it and stayed with Martin Painter on friday, then travelled up with Tancock and Painter this afternoon, with a short trip to West Raynham tomorrow as we are just down the road from another JMA venue of RAF Honington. Just got back to the hotel from eating out, missus behaved for one! Will be the missus first jet meet as she has come along for the weekend. Been a very good weekend so far and hopefully that will continue tomorrow.

Tancock has his Hotpsot with him . . . . . . miracle!!!!!

Big thank you to the host club, great mornings jet flying. Big turn out for this event, some new models too. I had plenty of flights, 5 with the Habu 32T, 1 each with my Ultra Flash and CARF Hawk and a couple with my Nano, I also test flew Rob Westwater's new Black UF with a Hawk 100R turbine (more soon) Luke Barnet's ex Mark Hinton F-16 on quality gear Alistair's Habu foamie and a part flight on Mark H's Ultra Lightning. Even the traffic back was light
Thank you again the the host club preparing the site and Keith Whiddett for organising things for us to play

Although the weather didn't play ball, I enjoyed the day out yesterday.

It was great to test the Bobcat with the new Merlin on it. The increase in performance over my Supersport was incredible and i was loving it. So much so that Ali thought that hanging out with Jason had rubbed off on me, as i seem to of forgotten that the throttle stick had more postitions than on and off

cheers to Keith and the club for organising the event

Duncan

Thanks to keith and the Fakenham club for organising this event, we enjoyed it despite the weather stopping play. John Tancock got his Hotspot sorted and was ready to fly it when it started to rain . . . . i think he owes DW some money? tenner i think! third time lucky maybe? first time being Merryfield.

Model of the meet was the F100, looked fantastic and the detailed finish and weathering really was superb! the P20 powered Habu's got quite a bit of air time and just made me want mine even more! Ducty is ok for mucking around with but i want something with performance! then the ducty can be sold.

It was quite a trip to West Raynham and back. I left Cornwall on thursday night after work for home in Somerset, then set off on friday morning with the missus and stayed over with Martin Painter in Redhill leaving for the hotel on saturday afternoon and West Raynham on Sunday morning. Back home on Sunday night and Cornwall last night after covering 1006 miles since thursday!

I did learn that i will never again let Nicki drive unless it is close to where we live. We left WR before Martin Painter and John Tancock, about 45 minutes behind us. I was feeling quite tired so asked Nicki to drive and we swapped over, there was traffic on the M25 but it would not effect us as we would be going the other way . . . . wrong!! Nicki took the wrong turning despite what the satnav was saying and we ended up stationary on the M25 going the wrong way in traffic we should not have been in! when we finally managed to turn off and head the right way Martin called and said he had just seen us going the other way! She is blonde so i suppose is should not be to hard on her!

Yep...£10

Jamie, when I passed you both in my big van in the M11, I had a little grin that Nicki was driving you...my wife refuses to drive me any where. Least you didn't end up in Peterborough like one of my crew and his Sat-Nav!
