No dimensions, but here is a pic of a full sclae BT-13. Maybe scale it to get what you need?

Sincerely, Richard

Looks remarkably like a BT-9 "Yale", predecessor of the AT-6 "Harvard".

Jim, I am sorry for your loss. I find it hard to think that a fellow r/c enthusiast would do that.

I just picked up a Bert Baker BT-13 from a fellow club member. This is my dream machine, a warbird without retracts. I sure am glad that this thread is going as when I first opened the box I found a lot of extra stuff that I thought belonged in this kit. This will be my first build, but I do have friends out there and this thread. Some work has been done; fuse is pretty much done. The first builder (I am number five in the line that I can figure) followed the instructions and has the dummy engine mount and the tin-can muffler already done. I am not sure what powerplant he had in mind but I have an OS BGX-1 available and an OS 160 FX available, also. I would go a gasser if need be. This will NOT be a build to go into any competition, just for me. Are you going to use separate servos in the wing, or the bellcrank method? Please keep a build thread going as it has already been very helpful.

We have a BT-13 out here at the March Air Base museum which I will go out take as many pics as I can. There is another over at the Pima Air Museum in Tucson which we are going to visit next month.

rcflyer, that is a beautiful plane, sorry to hear what happened to it. althepal, Glad you are finding the thread helpful. I researched the internet and found very little anywhere on this kit. I hope you can post some detailed pictures of what you are starting with, it will be a help to several people. Feel free to post pictures as you go along with it please. I am not going to do mine super scale either. I want to keep it light as possible so it will be a plane that can be flown without a huge pucker factor. Look forward to seeing some pictures.
Denny

Jim, I noticed some nice looking landing gear on your SVN. Where did you get them?

Denny, are you going to use the bellcranks in the wings or separate servos?

Until I figure how to post pics I could just email you the pics for posting. Or, get my Granddaughter over here to teach me.

al, I will probably run separate servos the each flap and aileron. It would be a lot easier and dependable. I am taking my American Eagle BT-13 out to the MacDill AFB AIRFEST 2011 for static display. I got it down from the shelf for the first time since Top Gun. Havent seen it in a while, it has motivated me to get back on my Burt Baker BT-13. Feel free to send some pics, I will post them for you. If you already have digital pictures on your computer, that is a big first step to posting pictures here. Do you have them on your computer?

Denny, yes I have them on my computer (Picasa) . I am not sure what format to use for RCU pic postings. Tried it once and didn't come out. I will work on that.

I measured my wing today and it was 91 inches.
It does sound like the Bert Baker kit though.

Post some pictures of the inside of the fuselage, that would help identify it.

I have had American Eagle and Burt Baker BT-13s, I might be able to tell you which you have if its one of those two.Or you can do a search on RCU for BT-13, I believe I have pictures of the Burt Baker, and I am sure there are images of my American Eagle BT. The Burt Baker comes with plywood bulkheads installed, the American Eagle does not.

This is a Burt baker BT-13. This one has had the cockpit area cut out. Every Burt baker I have seen has had the ply bulkheads already installed.

Here is the hardware that comes with a Burt Baker, you wont have this with fiberglass hinges if yours is an American Eagle.
