Here is a picture of a build I just finished this month.I love the way the .28 Losi 454 performs on the Nemesis.Pulls wheelies without a diff lock.I am running the 17t-21t pinion and bell housing off a Cen Genesis to get a slightly lower gearing with a 2 speed tranny. It is way fast without a 3rd gear.It will lay the smackdown on my 7.7 in the background.

I have done this conversion for a few people. I used all GSR 5.0 parts like the flywheel, clutch bell, engine mount. The engine I use is a SH .28 8-Port and yes it has way more power than the stock .46 and it is actually great to tune, unlike the .47 (7.7). Check out the video I made of my GST with the SH Engine. It is video #2 on the page. http://www.terranovahobby.ca/medias/videos

I actually take the 7.7 engine mount and cut a strip out of the middle.Than I tig weld the mount back together.I than take a dremel and lengthen the mount holes on the frame to allow fit of new mount.I then drill new engine mount holes and tap treads .I then use the 7.7 clutch setup by just taking the large cone and just slipping it over top of the smaller cone that is used on a .28 engine and tighten it down very good. Then shim the bell housing to fit.I have installed  an axial .32RR in the other truck scince these pictures were made and I did it the same way and I have put it to the test and it has never slipped on the shaft.I have also run the Nemesis with the 454 quite a bit and it has not slipped either. That is the easy way of doing it and it has worked for me.I have to say I have seen people on here advising against using the Axial engines but I can tell you it is my favorite engine on the Genesis?Nemesis. It might not turn quite the rpms the 454 does but it makes up for it in raw torque. It has cleaned the ends off two axles scince I installed it.It is a beast of a motor in my opinion. It always cranks easily, holds great idle and runs cool. You wont regret putting a .32RR on one of these trucks.

I ran the Axial .32RR with the Nemesis 21t/25t pinion and it has no problems pulling out quickly from dead stop.It really picked up top end speed also.I am running the 17t/21t Genesis/Gst pinion on the Losi 454 and it has lots of top end.I think it would have a decrease in bottom end with the larger pinion because it lacks the torque the Axial engine produces.By the way both of these trucks have the Nemesis 2 speed with no reverse. With the larger pinion the Axial is about equal in top speed with the Losi now.But I have to say I love the Axial engine for bashing but the Losi 454 is amazing. It is a screamer.I will try to get some video of each for comparison.I am going to try a Picco .28 real soon.I have heard it is a powerhouse on any monster truck.Does anyone here know how it stacks up against the Losi 454 in performance?

I took and locked the center diff on the Nemesis with the losi 454 and removed the front drive shaft, differential, and 2 front drive shafts and this baby is awesome. Will pull wheelies at about any speed and uncontrolable fast. The fun has just begun.
