The ingine box is just as well thought out and built as the rest of the plane...

Interlocking components, some tristock, and right thrust built in to the firewall...

All in all a VERY pleasing plane to receive.

There will be some added tristock here and there (primarily to make me feel like I participated), but mostly looks great to me.

The surfaces were pre-drill with robart hingepoints in place (but not glued of course)

Even came with a tailwheel... I haven't recieved my hardware kit yet, but it's list show it to be top quality hardware... Dubro, Nelson, etc...

It's easy to see the surface of the plane was finish sanded as the finish is as good as I could do... you MIGHT barely see a seem here and there but you have to really work hard to find it and get the right light angle...

Just awsome!

So... all I can say is that if this thing slies HALF as good as the construction looks... it's a real keeper and a great value for $995.

Mordib, what engine you planning to use in your bird? I've just gotten mine flying and you're gonna love yours!

Mordib--Thanks for the great photos of the plane. Finally someone was able to send me what I was originally requesting. It sounds like you are really happy with what you have.

Now maybe if Tim (or someone else who has one flying), will give us a flight report on how it flies and how he set it up. I am real curious about the final weight and how the CG comes out with whatever motor his has. I am trying to decide between this and the Fiberclassics. Thanks again.

Big Bob

Big Bob, I started another thread on mine, but to answer your question about the cg, Tom said that the plane is set up to give proper balance with a 6 pound engine (like a DA 100), though I don't know whether that's with the rudder servos in the tail or not. I use a pull-pull and my BME is a lot lighter than the DA even with the cannisters, so I did have to add 7 ounces in nose weight. The new BME Extreme weighs almost 1/2 pound less than my BME 105, but I'm considering moving the cg back a bit more anyway, so it won't be such a weight hit. Taking 3 ounces out of the tail will let me eliminate 12 ounces of nose weight so I'm still experimenting. I might even move the wing and tube back and inch or two this winter.

Still, it flies well at this weight, so..........

Big Bob...

to add to Tim's remarks...

The manual says that with a DA-100, it'll balance best with pull/pull rudder. That's what I plan to do.

In fact the manual states to build the plane RTF EXCEPT rudder servos... THEN determine if it needs to go one place or another...

There are servos trays AND pull/pull cable exits in the tail (covered over in case you don't need them) and a single servo spot for using a single LARGE servo like a HS-5735... there is also rails on the side for you to place a ply plate in there for gang servos and/or tiller arm setups.

Very flexible overall.

Additional sweet things is room for dual 32 .oz tanks (you like smoke?)

Heavy duty cowl mounting setup with 6 "lugs" to hold the cowl on. The hatch is prepainted black on the inside of the "cockpit" and my 10 year old son could take a bath in the HUGE canopy...

Really excite to get it together... But i have a dilemna... I'm not overly attracted to the scheme used. Tho I must admit when it arrives it is MUCH better looking in person than the web pics depict.

I'ma graphic designer and REALLY want to customize the covering.... so I MAY strip the covering and do my own thing here.... it'll take longer and the covering is dobe so well on it now... but if I'm going to do it, it'll have to be before I hing it... So we'll see...

I plan on using 5945's all around, thos 5645's or 5625's would be plenty... I may use the 5625's in the wings... I'll use dual rudder serovs and a floating bellcrank system. I used it on my Edge and I like it alot tho the "ganged" method is easier to setup...

I have the 36% 330sx and I love it. It has a DA 100, 8611A's on all surfaces, and the plane flies great. I used a pull/pull setup on the rudder with 2 servos. The plane balanced with 2- 2700 MAH 6V packs (A size) mounted on the former right behind the wing tube. I bought mine and immediately stripped it and recovered it in my own scheme. I was impressed at how well built it was when I stripped it. I've had a 33% Planes Plus Extra, Columbo Anderson Extra, 2.6Composite ARF Extra, 33% Aeroworks 540T and this is by far the best of the bunch. I like its bigger size com pared to the others. It has a lot more wing area and flies great.
