so, a few had asked for quad shocks on the earthquake.

i think i found a way to do it fairly simple.

i picked up a pair of caldera shocks(same as the 8E shocks but all plastic and not alloy)

i removed the rear sway bar, removed the eyelid from the bottom of the shock and popped it right onto the molded ball stud of the a-arm(where the sway bar attatched to the a-arm)

as you can see in the pics, a long screw and some rod to make a spacer is all i would need to make the top of the shock mount.

i think the spring could be run on the 2nd shock, but if i decide to finish this and run quad shocks ill leave the spring off. i would want extra dampning, not a higher spring rate.

the only downside is that the front a-arm's ball stud is located different from the rear. so i dont think i could do this on the front and have clearance with the steering link.

anyway, here are a couple of pics. feel free to give you input on how to finish and what you think of it!

If you are looking for extra dampening, why not try a piggy back shock.

Set for front and rear of a slash for 60

The ones i ordered for my revo project.

This company is in the UK cost 20.99 and 7.99 to ship to states. So for 50 bucks some nice 105 mm length shocks.

the reason i tried this is cause some others with earthquakes wanted quad shocks, like on the hpi savage. running quad shocks does give some added strenght, as there are 2 shock shafts on each corner to take the abuse. doubling the amount of shafts makes it less likely to bend a shaft.
