It cost $40, and comes in a 2 and 3 blade version.

That is a good idea. Have to check the shape though. May not matter to you if it is not perfect. I think the A spinners are different than the D9.

Status: offline 		The Anton and Dora spinners are different in design but I too considered the TF spinner for my D11 conversion. I personally think it looks better in size then the one on my D9. I'll compare them later.

Status: online 		too late, I ordered the one from China last night. The top flite would have been cheaper. I noticed the TF is 4 inch and the other one is 4.25. Prob not much of a diff in that area. Fed Ex says my 190 will be here tomorrow!

Which gas engine will fit without firewall modification? Da60 5.3 inch from firewall but dle 55 is 6.5 inch from standoffs

The one from sdshobbies is 4.5", not 4.25"

Flies great with that engine!! I installed mine with the carb facing down and haven't had a problem. I know someone else has turned the pots around on the engine is that the exhaust is opposite to the carb but I my choice was to install the engine as it was manufactured.

I Have not been keeping on the threads much lately. But. The cockpits I produce are fit to the plane. You do have the reroute the control lines and reposition some of the servos most of the time. I try to make the cockpits so they will fit a full body size pilot that is available. There are other cockpit Producers that make shallow cockpits that you have to do less cutting.

I try to make a cockpit kit so that you look down into the cockpit area and it not just for a bust. I try to supply a decent cockpit for a fairly reasonable price...

As my website says. If you cut something up,or screw something up, and need a replacement part just email or call me. I am very reasonable on replacement parts.

Status: offline 		I definitely happy with the cockpit kit. Sure I had to do some mods, but were mostly minor. The plane just wouldn't look right without a full cockpit.

Mike I bought a set of Williams brothers 4and a half inch wheels but felt they where a bit thin for the plane (they could be used ) in the end I used Glennis scale wheels down side is there not cheap another way is to use the esm ones with the kit place them up on a lathe on a mandrel and sand more of a radius on the contact face ( just get rid of the square look ) then paint them in fact I ended up doing this with the smaller ESM190 a5 Down side to Glennis ones are that when they are in the deployed mode ( as for landing ) the weight will change the COG to more nose heavy as they swing forward cheers stick

I've been lurking for a long time now so I thought I'd pipe up.  First I'd like to give a shout out to Ramstein, ticketec, Frank (aka) Stick Mode, Kwik and the rest for all the great info and discussion over the past year or so.

Question is:  I want to get into gas motors (I'm a newbie) and D9 is my choice of plane.  I know the XYZ 53 just shoe horns into the cowl of the ESM D9 at 217mm width.  I want to get the ESM and then move everything to a Holman D9 kit when finished.  Will the XYZ twin fit the Holman cowl....Anyone?  I know it has a slightly smaller wingspan. (2")  Ramstein, your a D9 Experten, whats the inside Cowl diameter of the Holman kit?

Weight wise, are the ESM and Holman kits build about the same for weight?

Status: offline 		Mine is at a friends house in prep for paint. I think the XYZ is too large to fit the Holman. The cowl is much smaller then the ESM. I just placed a DLE55RA in my holman and I had plenty of space. I'd possible go that route. Not the normal DLE as you have to butcher the cowl with that muffler or purchase an aftermarket version.

Good to see you on board on this one I know you will do the kit credit I used the xyz motor it’s totally concealed I did this by using two cowls cutting it at 12 o’clock 3, 9, and 6, and adding in 3/8 of a inch per section that gave me room to enclose the plugs etc and still look scale. The 56 xyz has more than enough power for scale flying as you know I filled in the wings and stab and glassed them which I feel has been worth it. Wheels came via Ram cockpit kit via TY( very easy to install) paint via air brush and a few beers ( ok quite a few beers ) its had 18 flights on it so far, fly’s nice more like a pattern plane .
The xyz starts easy I choke it for about 4 flicks ignition on and she’s a one flick start to date no problems. Have put in link to show xyz in place and running was taken a while ago but up loaded with my normal speed lol (yeh ill get around to it)
