OK, I have to have one of these. I worked on them for a short period of time in the Air Force ( Great Falls, Montana). I built a "Knights of the Air" model about 20 years ago. Does anyone remember what scale it was? I thru away the wing and made a scale one. I was working sorta part time for Larry Wolfe at Jet Hangar Hobbies so He helped me create it. That airplane would not stall. It just mushed when slowed down. I never made a good landing though because engine would always quit. I'm glad the DF days are gone! I read all the threads and I'm still confused on which is the best turbine. Also how much fuel do the tanks hold and projected flying weight? Any answers would be apprecdiated from all including Bruce.

I grew watching the Six takeoff and land at Fresno ANG. Full burner takeoff was the best..a short roll followed by a very loud bang! I have been waiting for a Six for ever!! When/is this product available? Hopefully they will choose CA\Fresno ANG for their color scheme.

You can see the kit contents on the other postsee above.

Here's my Delta Project, including the CJM F-106, which may be too heavy to fly, but is so beautiful. Bruce at CJM has promised to send me lighter parts but so far no reply.
So I will substitute the much lighter, larger Usher version, for now, However, Since Delta's have different flight characteristics, I will go through a progressive series of them before attempting the big , Usher 1/9 scale , version.

So I plan to first try my old Hobby Lobby Foamy mirages, but with new more powerful motors, then the mid size fiberglass Mirage you see before attemping the big F-106.

Keith Yates and I were testing a few weeks ago, and his flies great!  It's the same plane in post #21.  A friend of mine took the video while he was flying.  I'll post the video tomorrow.  Keith uses a Jet Central Rabbit for power.  More than enough power to fly really well.  The video is shaky in places, but you can see what you are asking about.

I started a 1/6th scale plug. If someone wants to take on a project let me know, we can work something out. Butch rssickels@sbcglobal.net

Ok I have progressed far enough in my f 106 build to get some hard , objective info about the f 106

I've posted only some of this on the RCU thread "usher f-106 roll out"

Warning: Do not look at that thread if you want a model magazine type review of the usher or cjm f106. Those are so blatantly biased that you wonder whether the reviewer got a free planeonly, or also got a considerable sum of cash. arn,t you sick of reading those "reviews"

In this era of arfs, few people have the time or skill to do a traditional build

Anyone who does not acknowledge the superiority of the cjm level of completion is intellectually dishonest. Or it's cool looks.
On the other hand, there may be serious weight and other problems with the cjm
