Thanks to Chrisspad's plans, I have started to build me one!!! Thanks Chris! I loved building this thing. I changed a few things up, not much, for other purposes. I haven't got it totally complete, just the plane... I have a U Can Do 3D but I'm scared to fly it. I already tore up the front nose on it. Its in the shop now getting all patched up. With this one, I think I can learn tons more than on that 3D. Check it out...

I sure hope so! My first plane was an avister. I crashed landed two times and darn near tore it to pieces each time (had to add epoxy to tail). So I went off and bought a airmadillo over at kombat40.com. That plain will take a can of whoop %^$ and strap it on its back! With no fear in tearing something up, you can really kick back and enjoy this lovely hobby. Gotta love some coroplastic!!
Looks great! I am going to build one very soon. Let us know how it flies. I would like to know how it flies compared to a PQHOR. That is what I am flying now and I think this plane will fly better.

Well, I got my 46fx strapped on. I ran into a problem mounting it. When drilling the hole for the engine, I split the wood with the drill bit. I ended up wrapping some very thin aluminum around the nose pieces and placing the screws through. Got the gas tank on and the throttle servo mounted. Weighed again, its at 4lb 9oz. I'm going to have to wait a few days to finish her out or I can stripped down my other spad. Probably going to end up stripping my speed plane down and just ordering more servo's and place them back in when it comes in. I want to fly this one soooo bad!!!
Chris, what is the total weight of yours?
I'll try to post some pictures later on... right now I got some honeydues I have to tend too... been putting stuff off due to the plane... :-)

Danhoh, thanks for the color scheme! That looks really good! I been messin around with autocad drawing out some ideas and I think I'm going to try to put some eyes with some mean eyebrows on the wings! that way if I can ever prop hover with it, it will be starring at you to let you know who is boss! I bought some monocote with my last order but I have never used monocote before. Got a friend that showed me how to use it with an iron and heat gun but how well does it stick to coro??? I'll deffinatly have to do some practice before I throw on the original coat.... Took some servos out of my other spad and placed them in for the stab and rudder. All I'm waiting on now is a crystal for my reciever and a y harness for my aileron servos!!!
You'll have to ask Chris about the waiving tail and the stiffness. I'll find out this weekend hopefully.....
I'll try to post some pics of the mounted servos later on...

the stripes on the picture I posted are colored packing tape. as I was finishing the thing, I decided it needed some spicing up. I have several different rolls/colors of this packing tape. 5 minuites with some tape, and its a different looking plane.
I have several flights on it, and so far glow fuel doesn't seem to affect it.
