What is a good war bird kit to hide a Zenoah GT-80 inside of the cowl?

The Ziroli Corsair would be nice, also his Hellcat and Dauntless. The GT-80 is a great twin warbird engine for the money.

Bah, there are enough US warbirds out there.

Go with the Meister Fw 190 D9. The GT-80 fits the cowl fantastic.

The Reid's models KI-97 will hide a GT 80 also, if you want something really different

Here is a picture of someone's Vailly FW190A. These are a very common pair. I'm building one now with the same engine.

Vailly Seafury - thinking of converting mine in fact from the G62 to a GT-80

Vailly Tempest - maybe! Need to measure the inside of the cowl.

I have a buddy using the GT-80 in a Bates 1/5 wildcat. I use a Saito radial in the same.

Hi Ramstein44,
I like your cowl hatch. Can you show us how that is locked down?

I mention the Bearcat, but now I am going to throw my support to the LA-7. That is a sharp looking plane.

I'm going to be trying to sqeeze one into a 91'' Zero, will probably be mounted verticle as opposed to horizontal & will require some mod's to the exhaust.
Got A CDI ignition unit for it which has dropped a lot of weight.
Thinking of starting a build thread on this one ...maybe.
Cheers Steff.
