I know my H9 P51 .60 requires 7 clicks of down to fly straight and level, and 7 clicks once i cut the throttle to make my landing approach

Status: offline 		I placed my order. To me it's well worth the price they are charging considering the the time and complexity of building the kit. This isn't a box type airframe especially with the gull wing and the fully operational split flaps.

Status: offline 		Mine should be shipping tomorrow. Agree it's pricey, but I think it's worth it as well, given what's out there is junk. I'm not so hung up on the retracts either, most likely I'll install electric retracts from E-Flite, hope the fit

For the Corsair you need rotating retracts. The ones you referenced do not rotate. In fact, I don't think E-Flite has released rotating retracts in the 60-90 size yet. You will need to use some other brand.

Status: online 		I have a set of Sierra rotating retracts in my .60-size TF P-40. I think there is a slight difference in strut length, but I'm sure he can make a set to length. They are of exceptional quality.

You're right.. they make them for 25-46, not 60 to 120 size

Thank you for those links. I have a feeling down and lock is out of my budget.. so its a toss up between the Lado and Wing Span.. though they both seem to have their weak points..

Status: offline 		Raman, yes Down and Lock are expensive. I am putting E-Flite retracts in the TF P-47 right now. I want to do the Corsair next but will wait and see if E-Flight comes out with rotating retracts or see how WingSpan finally works out or what Robart announces at the end of the month.

Status: offline 		I'll probably hold off as well to see what Robart comes up with. They all seem to have some sort of short coming.. Lado look better to me than Wing Span with exception of the brass screw.. they really should rethink that

Status: offline 		Put a set of Sierra pneumatics in it and be done with it. The Sierra gear are very robust and set up properly pneumatic retracts are very reliable. At this point in time the electric options don't seem to be as reliable as a good set of pneumatics. My .02 cents of course.

Status: offline 		Mechanical, Pneumatics or electric all work. It's really a matter of preference, taste and money. The current trend is electric retracts, even Robart has acknowledged it and are coming out with their own.

You may like fiddling with hoses and compressed air, while other just want to drop it in, plug it in and see it work.

This is a very scale warbird, so my preference is to have scale looking retracts that open and close in what I call an elegant graceful manner.

Status: offline 		Robart and Down n Locked have joined and will be making electric actuated Robarts. Since my Corsair is on it's way I'll hang in there until Robart has some retracts to offer. It's building season here in the northeast anyway.

I just ordered the Top Flight F4U ARF from tower...$209.00 w/free shipping & Decembers discount for club members...WoW. The U-Build kit almost cost this much... : ) I bought a set of 90 deg. rotating Lado's retracts a couple of years ago...and I have the Robo struts in house. I wonder if this model will take a RCG 20cc gas engine ? Some one please get building and send in pictures.
