Paul,

A Menz 23x8 will work very well.

I have the 50cc edge with a da60 and I use a Zoar 24x8. With all the vertical you will need, takes my plane out of sight.

hi. i am some what in a dilemma and cannot decide wether i should go with the extra 260 or the edge 540.... please share some light in this as it will also be my first 50cc. I enjoy basic to sportsman aerobatics and truly love speed. thanks and hope to get some good advice as my flying buddies all fly anything but aerowrks and are into hardcore 3d.

I recommend the EDGE 540. I have the 50cc and the 30cc versions, both fly like they are on rails, very predictable at slow speeds as well. Balance as indicated in the instructions and they are easy to land too. I just wish Aeroworks had a SU31 or a SU26 50cc. I would place an order today.

I,m with you on the Sukhoi SU-31!!!
I,m just getting back into flying again and would be all over a 50cc SU-31 from Aeroworks.

Ledsled,
Thanks for the suggestion. I currently have the .60 edge 540 and i agree with you on slow speed handling. Something about the edge that makes me feel its THE PLANE!!!! A buddy of mine keeps suggesting the extra 260 or the yak but i always end up falling for the edge.. I guess it would be great to progress with the edge from small to big considering one's familiarity with its flight characteristics. what servos do you use? Im considering hitec 7955(would it be an overkill) or spektrum 6030. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I actually changed my standard setup up on the EDGE 540. I use to use Hitec MG but in this plane I have Spectrum 6030s all the way around, 42% OPTO Kill switch, with a Smart FLY power distribution system, a LIFE battery for the Servos and another for the radio, all at the LIFE voltage. That makes them fast and awesome in power. Very crisp! I can fly all day long on this set up with one charge. And the LIFE batteries can take a heck of a charge. Takes me less than 30 minutes to be fully charged. I still have the NIMH 2100 in the Ignition, my only delay. All of my 30CCs frames are set up with Hitec MG. There is plenty of room in the 540 for all of the gear.
