that sounds good but what about a 4 stroke engine ?? will sound better ... honda make a small 4 stroke that they use on water pumps and weed eaters ..

The transmission would probably have to be a lot more complicated I think; he'd have to over-gear it to make up for the loss of high-end revs that you get with a 4-stroke.  I was after one last year (GX22 I think it was called) but I decided against it after reading the specs.  Not to mention they usually run hotter; he'd probably end up having to chop monster holes in a beautifully crafted shell just to keep it cool.

Hey Bentley,

I like 4 strokes but these engines (gx 35 ) gives only 1,5 hp ( as stock ) that is not enought for a muscle car.
The best by far is this

..... when i'll be rich.

Beautiful work.
You're a craftsman!

Are you using wood filler?
It reminds me of how they used to make big clay sculptures of cars when they were bringing out a new model.
Dunno if they still do as it's probably mainly computer work these days?

Thanks guys.

DVP : I use polyester filler , smells worst but it is the best for this work.
Today all companies work with computer and CNC machines. This is an old fasion work, for mad persons , only.

C.lyra :its Vass secret method .hahahahahahaahaha. It is very difficult to explain exactly, specialy in english.
You could start from a model 1/18, take a copy ( rubber + epoxy ),cut in templetes the epoxy model and calculate the dimensions
of wooden templates of your scale.
For this work you will pay about 200 euro for (copy) materials,150 euro for MDF and filler.

Good luck

VassilisG this is amazing, well done.
I think about doing this kinda stuff alot, but you actually do it!

Clyra:
If you are computer graphics saavy and you have as much time as VassilisG, you can use sketchup to make "templates"
3D model of Subraru Here:
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=1d6231a4f6a8453671dc7d15fb4931c&prevstart=24
Sketchup plugin for slicing model up here:
http://www.cad-addict.com/2010/09/sketchup-plugins-slice-modeler.html
(you will need to make the model a closed solid object for slicing to work though)

Thanks to Vassilis for inspiration, Awesome work!

It might be worth trying the free version of Autocad rather than google sketchup, I was having trouble with the google software as well but I find the Autocad123D much more intuitive to use. Have a look at http://www.123dapp.com/ it's very good.
