Default VS airsoft system upgrade

hello all,

i own a HL Tiger I with corrected barrel length, but the airsoft gun now only put the pellets at 7 to 8m so far.

after reading all the posts here and other forums, i bought an VS tank airsoft system, the M1A2 one, my fault, because it has a too short inner barrel.

i'm thinking in a solution: buy a new one, this time for the leopard2A6 (i think this is the model with longest inner barrel), but i need to know the exact length for the barrel, so i will able to know if this barrell will be short too.

if this is too short, i think i'm going to order an airsoft bore barrel and gromet, and try to replace barrels...

can someone put light here?

best regards and thank you very much

The majority of us here dont't use Vs tanks, so the probability that someone would know that off hand is remote.
I do own a couple of Vs tanks but I still couldn't tell you.
You may want to re phrase the second half of your post. you may get more responses that way.
I am just in a good mood today.

Hi,
I use the VS guns in pretty much all my airsoft tanks now. Here's a pic of the stock Leo barrel. About 9 inches long. Not sure if the new Tigers are the same but the older ones had a plastic barrel that surrounded the airsoft one inside of it. I think that you can get by OK of the barrel doesn't run the whole length.

Hope this helps,
Perry

hello,

thank you very much for your replies!

Perry, this is what i was looking for! 9inches are about 23cm, i think the inner T1 barrel is this lenght too, so it will fit perfecly!

thanks you again, i will place a new order on toyeast right now.

best regards

Default RE: VS airsoft system upgrade

hello

past friday i received the VSLEO barrel and airsoft system from toyeast. Saturday i did all the modifications to fit this new system in my Tiger I tower, replacing the original HL.

a lot of work i did, have to say. I had to 'dremel' all the barrel long (with a lot of care), so it can fit inside the external plastic barrel. I was covered in aluminium dust after this

after this 'dremeling', the barrel could enter perfectly inside the plastic one, it's too short although, for some 15 to 20mm, and not sits in the caps that are positioned and the end of the external barrel, net to the muzzble brake. But as the LEObarrel has a circlip in the other end, the one that fixes it to the breach, it can't move and shoots well, the pellets not impacting on the muzzble brake.

now the difficult part, sand the vs gearbox to fit in the mantlet, because the HL is thinner in the left side (saw from above). I had to reinforce the mantlet supports with epoxy bicomponent (nural 25 in my case), and close a littel hole in the gearbox with the same product. After all the work, the mantlet is pressed againts the gearbox, i was afraid to sand off limits the vs ystems so i haven't put back the screws, yet it will not move, it's well pressed

the vs systems fits perfectly inside the turret, no modifications needed on the gun mounts. A little soldering and all is done.

the gun works, and is a lot more powerfull than the stock HL

best regards
