Status: offline 		I am looking for good upgrade motor and esc for my Slash 4x4??? Its been though a lot and the traxxas motor finally let go. Should I just stick with the traxxas stuff or find something else??? I just want to keep the same performance. Does hobby king or hobby partz carry a cheaper replacment motor that I can run my 3s lipos??? Thanks

Instead, pick up the Castle Mamba Max Pro SCT combo. That will be a great motor/ESC to run on 3S. It'll make tons of power, you can gear it to the moon, and it's only $200.

Status: offline 		i just think the Max Pro SCT is just too much power for a slash i seen 2 of them tear up with aftermarket drive shafts and metal spurs.  just make sure your car is little heavy or its ill tear sh)t up.... i would still get the Mamba Max Pro SCT .

If that's the case, then the Slash 4x4's drivetrain leaves a LOT to be desired.

Metal spurs? Who the hell needs a METAL SPUR on an ELECTRIC?

Status: offline 		Ezrun sc8 120amp with the 2700kv 4 pole 550.... Its only $150 and since it's basically a 1/8 scale combo so you can use a wide range of gear ratios . It's good up to 4s and comes with 2 pinion gears a 19t0.8m and a 15tmod1 .
