Nice flight, Fender! You did a good job building the jet too. That landing was just due to nerves, nothing else. Nerves can do that. The approach was very nice. I enjoyed the video.

Thanks, I was nervous but there were a few things i had to change. less up elevator and a non linear throttle curve for the win

Okay so its time to wrap this build up with a review!
These are just my opinions and cannot speak for anyone else.

Over all I enjoyed the build, I had a few paint issues that were corrected without any hassle on FEJs part, did have a issue with china costumes but that's not their fault.
I would and will buy from Fly Eagle again. Lowell and James are great to work with and I have two new friends for life, but you have to remember its not there fault they just place the orders.
Quality is pretty good, I found nothing that needed to be modded for safety or flight. Gear mounting is very strong, the honey comb is very strong as long as it has carbon on both sides. I do have some honey comb that is not covered but only in the nose area, just helps hold the shape nothing structure like. Gear quality is really good and the gear down lock feature works great, you just have to follow the recommended air setup, for the f-16 its recommended to run one EV2 for the main gear, the EV5 for nose, doors, and brakes. Which requires two air tanks, the gear uses a lot of air to work, but once they are down they are locked. I have been using the stock pipe with out any issues and they do offer different thickness for your needs.
Hardware is fine I just wish they gave you only hardware u need and it was labeled correctly, but saying that most part bags come as one bag and the instructions specify. So either a few more better quality pics or instructions would help.
my ev2 and 5 valves work great no issues or leaks so I will recommend them as well. Good prices and they work just fine.
All the air cylinders work fine and no leaks, I would recommend changing the grease in the gear cylinders which makes them work very smoooooooth. All the bolts and set screws that were installed were tight and had locktite. I like the push/pull on elevators/rudder and recommend using the smallest metal arm you can get, the elevator only needs 50mm of travel. Fuel tanks are nice and not leaks, the hardware they supplied was actually good, I just got rapped up in the bling and went over board. Next time I will just get the standard tanks to save weight, kevlar is nice but I will just go with what suits me. Air line supplied is fine, next time I will just use it instead replacing it. The 3 way and 4 way air fittings are great and have double barbs so once there on its on. I really like the supplied carbon decal, I just wish they gave you more is all.
the bolt hardware is fine, washers need to be thicker so they dont bend but thats small stuff. Air tanks supplied were fine after I cleaned them out, that some solder chips inside from the fittings being added, easy fix. The rods and rod ends supplied work great on elevator and rudder, the aileron ones are nice, but care must be taken on alignment and servo arm hole size drilled. this will prevent any slop. The carbon horns on the ailerons are nice as well you do have to sand them for the rod end to fit. The metal rod ends are u shaped with a pin, which are just a little small, but then again it depends on what servo arm you use.
The bad things on my model, were not having the removable noise( it does save weight I just wanted it), the un scale like nose needle(made one which looks AWESOME!!!), had some QA paint problems, (fixed and pretty sure FEJ identified and will fix)
Thats all the negative things I can say, I have had more problems with less complex things in my 25 years of modeling for sure. I will update on how the jet holds of as I put flight time on it, Flying wise it handled great and looking forward to really getting some good flight videos and pics.
So thats it folks after all the drama this ones in the bag and I hope my build helps someone and feel free to ask if you need any info or help. Thanks for the support of the fans and FLY ARMY!

Did the gear go up, I cant tell? Was the cycle time on the gear what you expected?

Matt, the battery wasn't fully seated on the gear controller and popped out so the gear wouldn't cycle.

Sorry I missed that, looks like it flew great otherwise.

Is this the model with the LE flaps?

Once I get use to it and more comfortable I plan on strapping it on a little at a time. With my weight and current power it should be fun. Just will have to fly it with respect. Are you going to be in Florida this weekend? Need to get some practice landing.

Congrats again FB.

I have a question... Like yourself, I also have the 14 MZ-HP, how did you get it to buddy-box with a JR radio for your maiden?

I thought it was impossible to do.

I had to buy a JR radio for instructing at a couple of the clubs I instruct at.

Maybe it's me, but at 0:38 on the vid, you're connected to the 14MZ by a JR radio....and that's OK, but you're holding the slave TX and Keith is holding the master 14 MZ... I thought it would have to be the other way around.

.... Either way, I'm glad it went well for him.

I've got a 14mz on my neck strap and left hand, I'm explaining something about the 9303 with my right hand to Bill standing to my left who flys his jet on JR.

Mike, currently we've got 4 new turbine owners in the local clubs and i'm the only one with a waiver to help so it has its moments.

Keith, Sunday shouldn't be a problem. i've got all the ordnance on the F-15 and she'll get tested with it Saturday, if all goes will i'll bring it out Sunday too. also building on a functional belly tank to add 40oz to the fuel load, those 4 min flights suck.

Oh and the adapter for the round to square is also linked above........

Okay cool, yeah I am getting a belly tank from Detail 4 Scale plus other things If you have talked to him in person he is a great guy and pretty smart with all the ideas/products on the horizon. I am going to try his door sequencer and as soon as he gets the fuel monitoring that to!!!He is doing it the best way for accuracy, not to mention it gives a lot more data.

i made mine, used a wing tank as a plug to make the tank, now i'm working on the internal tank to hold the fuel, should be able to get 40+ oz in there.

I was just going to use a large round tank, or even a square one inside. Or just buy one made, pretty cool I have always liked the idea of a center tank that's functional.
