Well maybe I can sling one in for ky jets, I have to lower my powerbox or mod the cockpit I have. Its funny this jet is my everyday flier you would think I would have everything in it by now.

Wow. That sure seemed negative. I was hoping to find out as well so I know what really suits this plane.

Yeah, i know the FlyEagle site says a 36 Lbs engine , but that seems not realistic , especially for the older version at 38 (?) Lbs dry....
RCU-jets sucks these days, what a difference with a few years back.
OK, lets try again,so I dont need to know any reasons, just like to know; does it not fly well on a 36 LBs turbine ?
thanks

It flies just fine with a rhino more than enough power. My f-16 was 35.5 pounds dry and if you look at my flight videos you can see the jet is cruising. I never even really flew at full throttle most of the time I was just a little above half throttle maybe 3/4s
I prefer to let what people see do the talking so look at the flight videos I have posted. Ask people who have seen the jet fly in person, I flew it at Pensacola Jets and of course my local field which KC has seen it fly as well. New version f-16 which is full honey comb would be even better since it saved u about six pounds. Hope this helps, im not sure what your trying to get at.
also remember we tend put more thrust than is need, just like servo torque, my jet would fly with a 30lb thrust turbine in my opinion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvWZcm261VE

and for the two above comments about me being rude, if you read through my build thread this topic has been stated, it seemed like you had some kind of motive for asking other than basic info. So if im off base then okay I apologize.

Okay I was looking at light stuff and I noticed the wing tip lights are not actually on the missile rail just inside. I just wanted to make sure before I put two small holes in the tip of my wings.
I used hot glue to attack the lights to the cover and going to try some goop to attach everything. I wanted something I could remove should a light go bad or something.

Wap, It looks great man, I cannot wait to get mine! I noticed your using the baby bottles for UATs, did you buy those or did you make them? I really like building and making stuff so this is another small thing I would like to make myself if I can find the stuff. I have been wondering if the plastic would hold up to kero and diesel.
I also need to find a place to get the LEDs Dan using in his lighting kits, I need to make a second taxi light for the nose gear door.

Hey Fender,

The baby bottles are PST, they are great.  I believe Oli did a thread on UAT's a while ago and they were at the top.  We have a Fry's electronic in texas and they sell all sorts on leds not sure if you have one where you are at.  Also a computer equipment store sells leds as well.

Okay I have everything except the wing tip lights installed. I do have a question for you F-16 buffs, I watched a video of some F-16s at night and the inlet lights and the rear position light are flashing. Before they taxi they do not flash, im guessing so they dont blind the ground crew. Even once airborne these were still flashing. So my questions is this, I have never seen position lights that flash, the AH-64D has pos lights that dont flash and we have another one which is the anti collision. I can plug both lights into a slot that does not flash, but Dans instruction say the inlets go in pos two(which strobes) and the tail can either be plugged in to strobe or not. Any way to set them up were I can toggle between flashing and not?

I took a real fast video with the lights out showing the bling!

Found this explanation on a FSX site:

"The real world F-16 pilot has the option of setting his navigation position lights to several different modes depending on operational needs or personal choice. The two main modes used in real life are a steady state and a steady/flashing state."

http://www.interkultur.de/gossmann/fsx/maiw/MAIW%20West%20Coast%20ANG.htm

Some good info here too:

I was wondering what most f16 pilots use, other than that video I never really seen inlets that flash.

When i was working at Eglin & Tyndol, most of the 16 guys flashed during day hours, solid at night for better visibility, just like the 64s use white strobes during daylight hours, red at night.

Hi Fender - I actually visited the Norwegian service and upgrade shop for our F-16's when I built mine,
they gave me the same answer - there are a multitude of modes, from flashing everything to solid all
over except for the one on top of the rudder. There were also different lights (like one under the belly
on some that were missing on others, as well as one close behind the cockpit) - so anything goes! We
have some loooong, bright summer evenings here where dusk lasts all night long, great opportunity to
fly with all the lights, looks amazing!

I like the idea of the pos lights being steady, so if I cannot toggle between the two modes I will jus tmake the inlet and tail position lights steady and have the wing tips lights flash like the fin strobe. Thanks
