Gener, I've got a bunch of Joe Petro's kits, two JAE .12's, a .21 and the gas version. Most of them have become dust collectors as they were built over a year ago and have never seen water except for the gasser which I raced at the Gas Nat's a few weeks ago. I picked up some cowls from David Preusse at the Hobart Indy Master's race and yesterday to kill time, installed one on the .21.

The .21 JAE is a fun boat to race, so I'm building a .12 and .45 this winter. All powered by Novarossi!

Why not start a Winter Build thread?
I gotta get the ones in the water that I built almost 2 years ago first!

Well, I finally got back to my boat after a month too busy to work on it! Sanded the hull from the first coat of clear, and applied a second coat. Also sprayed the VS1 cowl orange. The rear of the cowl is going to be purple. But it's raining today. So unless it stops, there's not painting.

Yeah, I wanted to get this boat running by mid-october and that's come and gone pretty much. But I'm in no hurry.

I just finished redesigning the logo for FloatWays and I want to make some stickers to put on the boat. Unfortunately, the brand colors will not included orange (and I already painted the cowl orange). Ha! But it is what it is.

Once I get the stickers made and applied, I can apply the very final clearcoat and then the build's all downhill from there.

Hey Danny,
Yeah I can usually run here till late december.
Long as I get some dial in runs before tha snow flies, Im cool with that.
Graphics next on my list,
Gene

Note......... Some of the stock tank mount parts were warped so bad there not usable.
I'll get a Std Dubro tank and couple nylon tye wraps to the brace and done.

From a post at another forum the question was asked,

What is too hot head temp for OS XM 21 watercooled outboard ?
JD reply'd, 175 to 200 being ballpark and might have to restrict flow to get that.

Shane M. stated in all 5 of his OS outboards he did not run the cooling line,
And head temps in the 160's was the norm after his racing heats, Now thats with Grimracer 50% boat fuel.
Mike Z has stated the oil package is way ahead of its time, the content is more also.

Seems for a opt head temp its the A/C head on Ver 2, Or a aftermarket one............

Hey guys, I finally got around to deciding on the graphics for the boat... I'm going to try and get the stickers cut locally 'cause I need them soon. I have a few days off for Christmas and I'm hoping to finish the boat then. Otherwise, I was going to have a friend (from here and intlwaters) to cut the stickers for me. But he's a little far and with how slow USPS is right now I'm not sure they would get here in time.

Check out the look... (Photoshopped)

Who do you guys use for cutting vinyl stickers? The local shops here are quoting way too high. I remember seeing sign sign shops post in one of the forums offering vinyl sticker services, but I can't remember where I saw it.
