Might have to order one for the shop as soon as they are available! If it is late summer I should be getting some news on this before long.

He's messing with you.... That traxxas 1/5 scale went out of production years ago.

You can tell this is an older video...

Thanks for the video. I've only had a shop for a couple years. Wonder why Traxxas killed it off? Maybe they were too early to the large scale party?

Id say it was before its time more than anything. I would think since HPI has stolen most of the 5th scale market that traxxas would try to jump back in on it really.

i hope there is room for a 3s hardcase to fit right. because on the flux a 2s hardcase is a perfect fit but a 3s hardcase does not fit right. the flux should of been designed with better battery boxes for 3s. also on my 2 fluxs i have had the stock wheels DO sometimes strip at the hex because one of mine did and on top of that the wheels should of been designed about 10mm more inside diameter space because they rub the front end on the inside of the wheels. i love my fluxs but i have seen what i would just call "design flaws"

The dedicated among us will find a way, worry not.

Battery door removal and innovative use of velcro ftw?

Talk about the one thing that I hated about the mini slash is it had stupid battery compartments making it hard to get batteries you already own in there. That being said. This truck looks too sick! Im contemplating it for sure. If I didnt have so many places to rock crawl I would jump on it.

This was when HPI first put a part number to the truck on the site. And no offense, but ThunderbirdJunkie prefers to deal locally. It was $308.84 after tax

The more i look at this the more i can't help but think what makes this different other then hpi's first two attempts at this?

I remember the first attempt at this with there answer to the e-maxx and how much of a flop it turned out to be.

First attempt was under the sister company Hot Bodies and called the E-Zilla.
http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/e_zilla.html
Then hpi picks it up and tries to get market support with proper naming and it gave us zilla owners more stock part support but that's about it.
http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/547/

I guess since the flux took off, and now its brushless and has more of the flux parts in mini this will be better but i can't help but wonder how well it will really do. Though from looking at the e-savage looks like the same knuckles so it will be interesting to see if any of the flux parts will fit on to the old e-zilla/savage trucks.

The Savage XS is smaller than the E-Savage so I don't think many of the E-Savage parts are going to fit the XS. I believe the E-Zilla was the same size as the E-Savage.
