I have an old print of the original RCM scooter by Dick Tichenor and want to build using electric.  All I can tell you in the span is 42 inches and wing area is 240 sq inches.  Don't know total weight.  I have attached a picture of the plans.  Hope somebody can give me some advice.  Thanks

@culver - thanks... modified the wing to include ailerons for better flying characteristics.  how long might flight time be.  plan to cruise at half throttle if I can.  should still give a good glide ratio.  what should I keep the maximum weight to.

Because of the tail boom, you will probably need to limit the prop diameter to 6 or 7" (check the plans). You will need to do some homework to pick the right motor. Some of the park flyers motors are designed to swing a bigger prop, but you can run a higher pitch and smaller diameter prop also.

Any more news on this project? It looks like it would be a nice flying machine with room for a camera as well. Keep us posted!

Project was abandoned due to weight of aircraft being excessive.  Even a 480 motor swinging a 7 inch prop could not get it off the ground.  Don't know what can be done to eliminate a lot of weight.  Here is a pic of the completed plane.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Regardless how it turned out, it's always a learning opportunity. Thanks for the update and the pics!
