Hi I'm a first time flyer, so i bought a megatech x-ec diversion. the main wing is made of foam and looks fragile.I would just like to know how i can adjust the plane for a straight flight, when i hand launch it, it goes up,turns right, then dives into the ground, can you maybe tell me how i can adjust it for straight flight It will be much appreciated!! thanks

The XEC comes only with a rear "fixed" rudder and elevator, but they are marked out on the rear wing,(don't know if you've seen one),do i need to or is it there to cut out so i can make the changes to the rear wing(cut the sides so the elevators can move up & down and rudder left and right, sorry if it's not a good question but obviously i'm not
a pro he he .,i've just started and i live in south africa.I had to ship in the plane and it costed me a lot because of insurance, shipping and exchange rate!,thats why i would like to be extra carefull with the plane because i won't be getting any replacement parts easily.I would appreciate your answer to my last question above. Thanks a lot!
and also
My XEC has small cracks on each side of the main wing
because of all the time it nose dived into the ground and "cartwheeled on the wings" , and on the one side it is a bit torn, what would be the best way to reinforce the wing or fix the cracks, should i use clear tape and stick it over the damaged areas or do you get a sort of foam glue to fix it,
This will be my last question! I really would appreciate it,i
am anxious to get my XEC flying asap over this holiday.

If somene could please help me with the above quetsions,Megatech did not answer one email i sent!

Charl

I'm no expert at these entry level airplanes, but I believe this one uses differential thrust of the motors to steer. My girfriend gave me an Airsurfer for x-mas with the same set-up, and I had a hard time getting it to fly ( I'm used to flight control surfaces). I did have success just letting it climb to alttitude, then using short "blips" to turn it. It flew, but nothing very exciting. As for repairs to your wing, odorless CA glue will work and not eat the foam. Clear packing tape used sparingly as patches will also work. With the extreme lightweight design, you don't want to overload it. Go to a large open field, let it climb on throttle, then hit the turn buttons lightly. Hope this helps.
