Is there a good way to take a dent out of EPO foam. I was going to try some heat but thought I might do more damage. My new plane has a couple of dings from shipping. Any ideas would be appreciated.

if you do a search on Elapor Soup, you'll find lots on this hot-water-based technique.

how do you replace an odd shaped chunk of EPO foam other than cutting out and fitting a piece in.

Gorilla glue does wonders to fill voids and cracks. Mix with water and apply. Then let it foam up and trim away with a knife then follow with spackle and Krylon H20 primer.

I like to splice in scraps of EPP and clamp them in place while the glue expands. The clear gorilla glue cures the fastest, but the yellow seems to penetrate better with better strength. Both cure semi flexible.
