Gold Wing 50cc Pitts
Well the Black GW Pitts had another issue yesterday,,, It was me at the sticks, been a long time since I did something stupid while flying,
I was doing a long torque rolling hover and letting the wind just push and push and it got over near the setting Sun too far away from the flight line, the glare and trees in the background helped cause me to loose orientation for a second, it snapped and was going in, I gave it power and "up" to loop out,, but yes I was inverted after all, I should have pushed out.. Anyway I did save it from going straight in, fought it for a second or two, but I'd got off the power because I thought it was done and it still kinda flopped in almost level.
Damage was not too terrible actually, Mainly tore out the landing gear and bottom wing saddle area. Top wing has very little damage,, bottom wing has mostly superficial, but the wing tube sleeve is loose in one wing half. All seams rebuild-able to me, I wanted to add longer ailerons anyway.. we'll see

wing time
The was the worse wing damage, the Tube Sleeve was straightened by inserting the tube and wrapping masking tape around it,, I then removed the tube and wicked in thin CA from the inside,, As you can see I had to fabricate ribs and support,, it ain't pretty, but it's pretty strong

Decided not to wait and just patched with some silver I had,, She's ready to get the motor and electronics put back in,, I may add a smoke system I've had laying around,, we'll see
Pretty easy puzzle to put back together,, it's not without scars and not the prettiest any longer, but she'll be strong as ever to tear up the skies this spring

I had a mid air with my Pitts Python. Was woundering if you knew anyone with some wings? Lower left wing to be spacific. If not I will have to rebuild it but would like to just buy a new or use one.
