Hello Anton.
Could it be possible to see pictures of the wing tube and main fuselage former area ?
What wing tube aluminium type, size and thickness are you using ?

Hi Anton,
I see two large carbon rods on that picture.

Are the series models going to be fitted with this assembly?

Any picture of the internal fuselage structure at the wing joiners area and engine bay?

I agree on the scale paint scheme comment... you might think about getting rid of the "teeth".

VF-111 did fly the Cougar, but it didn't look like that one - at least not that I could find, maybe the owner had another source...

I do like the scheme though - that's why I selected it for my Xtreme Jets F-4.

I'm not saying they VF 101 did not fly the F9F 8 ,I'm saying If your buying a scale Cougar you might have one with the right paint .
BTW say hi to LOUIE....
Semper Fi
Joe
PS.... Ali had a AirWorld Cougar painted in "Black Aces" schemes because he liked it.

UJ, I was not questioning your knowledge of historical aircraft - especially Marine/Navy ones. To do so would be shear folly to say the least! I just did a search when you said that to see what I could find and the VF-111 Cougar picture I posted was it. I do like to hedge my bets though - usually when *I* say never, at least 2 or 3 guys prove me wrong!

I'll pass your greeting onto Louie - he's at home working on a new airplane in the shop right now. We're still looking for our photog/weather potentate buddy to make a return appearance at an east coast event! Certainly Ky Jets 2012 is a big enough event to draw such talent - especially when there is a crazy Canadian and some guys from CA to ride with!

Bob

Guys,

The scheme Anton has copied is that of my (now) Airworld Cougar that I bought off Ali.

As he & I like to do, it is simply a pseudo scale scheme that looks feasible but is in no way historically accurate. Simply something different as there is no intention to enter scale comps.

Cheers
Mark

If I can recall did not someone in Europe convert a AW cougar from the large aileron to a scale use of flaperons and flaperetts ?
