I fly Futaba and have 4 transmitters. One of them is the new 2.4 T8FG (Love it!) and the other 3 are still on 72. Yes, I still fly 72 so I need to keep a radio or two. So what's my point in this forum, you may ask? Well, there are a lot of PNP Park Flyers out there and rather than have to purchase another TX (and then learn how to use it!) I was wondering if the Spektrum DSM2 Futaba module will allow me to use my current 72 TX's (8U, 9C) and be able to just purchase these PNP Park Flyers. Any ideas if this will work?

Thanks, Dean.

Yes with a however ...

It works as advertised however the translation process between Futaba - Spektrum and back puts an additional demand on the battery. A friend would get 2 flights from his Futaba Tx & Spektrum Rx. Using a Spektrum DX7 he can fly for several days one a single TX battery charge.

Yea, yea - I'm ready for the crappola to fly in my direction for this post ...

No crap, but I don't see that problem. I'm running a spektrum module in a 9Z transmitter with no apparent battery drain. I flew 10 flights at an electric fly in 2 weeks ago and still had battery left. I've never heard of this problem before.

Good to know that my friend's problem is an isolated experience!

Thx for the feedback.
