A beautiful day in Mississippi yesterday! 75 degrees! Frank and I got in about a dozen jumps. Trying to figure out where to put the man on the canard....

Just visited Hobby Lobby site ... The $350 12 foot Telemaster kit has been upgraded to a $900 kit!
Add $200 for monocote and you've got $1100. The arf is $1100. They ought to talk about inflation in the debates.
Of course Hobby Lobby has always been proud of their stuff.

I think you would be better off buying a Pilot Decathlon or something similar. $1100 is way to much for a Telemaster.

I would really like the Hangar 9 Pawnee but they want over $1400 for it delivered. I guess my next big telemaster will get here the same way the one in my shop got here - built from plans. Wing attachment is horrible on the plan - main thing the new kit improves. This one I will concentrate keeping the weight dowm. Of course the plane really dosen't notice its 45 pounds with the DLE 111 in the front. And remember you can buy a whole bunch of balsa and ply for $900

Latest iteration of electric telemaster testbed. The batteries were too hard to get to the battery location prohibits a bottom hatch. By mounting the batteries outside it is way easier to check capacity.

I also started to look at the 12 foot Telemaster but there is no way I can get it to South Africa.  not even to mentoin the price.
Plans will be the thing. Does any body know of where to get good plans or is the hobby lobby plans the way to go.
Will need it for that 50% diver of us.

The old hobby lobby kit has good plans (except for wing attachment). Probably have to get a set from a prior builder

Exterior mounted batteries worked well. We were able to check the batteries after each flight. We got at least a dozen jumps in today.
And we saw a genuine UFO! Actually it was a falling object. Looked like a large streamer - white with several lines. Don't have a clue.
