Are the unknowns posted anywhere? Would love to read through them.

Ahh, just ignore this one. They are on the page that is linked to the results in the first page from this
Topic, guess I should have looked first!

From watching local pattern contests I conclude that a pattern snap is making it into the manoevre by the hairs breadth. Its a fast roll with the tail hanging it out just a bit. Not very nice to see. Pity its flown that way at the wolds as well. Why have an Aresti catalogue if how a manoevre is flown is open to interpretation?

First pattern doe not actually use the Aresti catalog. There are many pattern figures that cannot be constructed using the catalog and its rules for figure construction. In addition, pattern does not use the K factors as presented in the Aresti catalog. Beyond that, the Aresti catalog carries no information about judging criteria. It is simply a document that provides for the systematic design of figures and sequences and the assignment of K factors of difficulty in a consistent manner.

Curious that we've heard no news. If they're on schedule, the contest has been over for at least an hour. I know I wouldn't have wanted to be a judge trying to sort out who was the best for this event. Sounds like everyone in the finals was putting out their best efforts.

Please dont write stuff that funny, I just spat coffee over my keyboard!!
Great line & I know exactly what you mean. How these guys come out and fly unknowns this hard so beautifully is just incredible. I saw the finals in Portugal and was amazed, was also fortunate enough to see the Tucson Shootout a few years back and felt the same way. Just grea to watch these guys do their thing so well.

Nope. That was Christophe returning the Champion's perpetual trophy during the opening ceremonies I believe. It was taken on July 25th.

CPLR
ONDA
Jesky
Hyde

US takes the gold.

Or maybe I got a phone call.

it would be interesting to take the total of the scores from the entire contest and see if that mixes up the final standings?

If CPLR won then it wouldn't shift anything. He's been rock solid the entire contest.

Glad to see Andrew make it up on the box, but I feel bad for Chip. Sounds like he was on fire in the prelims and semis. Great effort by all regardless. Something tells me Onda-san is going to win it one of these years. Maybe Andrew too. They're both so close. CPLR won't be invincible forever.

Are these official results?,if they are it`s nice to see that Andrew placed third he has worked hard for it and deserves it.
Surely Onda will do it someday and looks like Andrew is right up there now and with ambition for the win,but for now it looks that Christophe is unstoppable and reigns supreme.

And congrats for the USA team for taking home the gold.
