Wow.. so Onda-san actually matched CPLR in the finals today. They both had a score of 2000, but CPLR's semi-final scores were the tie-breaker.

Hi,

Just took a look at the blog of one of the French team members and it seems that for the individual pilots, CPLR was first, Onda was second and Andrew third. For the team standings, the US was first, Japan second and France third. I checked the AMA site and the scores have not been posted yet, so this is based all on looking at photos. The only one I thought was questionable was the individual standings as all three were on the top step and I though Chip had been ahead of Andrew. Either way, well done!

I feel bad for the Chipster as I thought he would come in 2nd place or maybe even win. He has "only" won the WC once back 1991 (someone earlier in the blog had mentioned that he won twice). That shows you the level of flying for an RC God like Chip to just miss the podium!

Also interesting is that the USA, Japan, and France are the definite powerhouses of F3A. They have held the top 3 spots in 2011, 2009, 2007, 2003, and 1999!

Now do the finals start with all ten fliers at zero or are some of there semi final scores included?

It seems that the finals do not start at zero really, CPLR and Onda have tied in the finals. The rules say that the semi-final scores are used to determine the champion.

Regards

Please gentlemen, lets us not start a new war !We will ask CPLR to impregnate a few females in each country to gives everybody a chance.Note that Dominique Strauss Kahn is already at work around the world, but he is not that good at aerobatics, well at least not at RC aerobatics.

It's sure for the standings, i have receive a cellphone text message from loic burbaud. Really happy for Christophe, i can't imagine how hard it must be to stay at this level for this long time.
One more WC and and he will be at seven WC as Prettner.
Congrats to all finalists.
