RCPETE,
Awesome question, yes if anyone does makes it before Friday you must go to the MAIN office (follow the map provided), just take your ID and AMA(MUST HAVE AMA CARD WITH YOU!!!!!!), thats the only two items one needs in order to get pass, this pass is for the rest of the year 2011, they do checkin the AMA Website (No need to show or state Turbine Waiver) Once done the 2nd picture shows where you can park to unload and load and best area to set for the day (the event will be different set up)

Ali,
Looks like Pete is on the way. One of his RCU ads says it can be picked up at the Markham park jet rally.
Marvin you forgot to point out the Markham flying pass is FREE. You just have to acknowledge the AMA safety code and be informed of the flying field boundaries is all it really is.
I have two trips to San Juan Monday and Tuesday. Place your duty free orders now! PM me for the ad scans from the duty free shop. I think RCU would not like me posting booze ads.
Cheers,
Mark

Mark,
Thanks, make sure you bring your Micro Machine Car there will be lots of space to park that sweet car,
Ok and not to confuse anyone, the Markham Park Pass you aquire it through the main office as I stated on previous Post, this Pass is for the entire year and there's no charge for this pass, just bring your AMA & ID and all good, this pass you will need it if your flying before Friday. Remember now this pass does NOT has to do anything with the EVENT

Thanks Mark,
Its always good to catch up with RCpete amongst others.. Only a feed ays left now! My Hawk is already there, and just waiting for Pablo to pick my Kingcat up from Forward air. A massive thanks to Henry and Joe for ensuring my Chrome Cat got all the way from Cali to Miami. Cant wait to fly it again.
Regards Al

If you have anything fragile to bring with you I could use a set of 2M Viperjet wing bags you could pack it in.
Mark
Sorry Marvin, micro car got sold. Make room for the forty foot bus!

I would like to know where will the tents be lined up and like other events will our family be able to sit in our tents? I know that at the field specktators are not allowed passed the fence so does that mean that our family members won't be able to be with us under our tents? This is importants for those of us who may bring our wife.

I understand your concern. But only Ama members are allowed inside the fence. Not my rules, there Markham park rules. So if she doesnt have one you might want to sign her up.

RE: Markham Park Jet Rally 2011
Well we are off to a great start as many jet flyers showed up today to get a feel for the location.
An absolutely stellar day about 82 degrees a few clouds low humidity (for Florida) and a light breeze less than 5 knots.
Its shaping up to be a wonderful event.
I took some photos today to get it started. Sorry for the quality. I only had my phone with me. Next round will be with my good camera.
A few names I saw there today: There were more to meet but these are the ones I know.
Pablo Fernandez
Chuck Storrie
Ali Mashinchy
Rob Lynch
Glen Grant
Rei Gonzalez
Randy Clark
RC Pete
Erci Clapp
Ralph Esposito
Alberto Enriquez
Malcolm Kay
Juan Pablo Montoya

Henry and Alberto from Modellbau USA were on hand with a brand new Composite Tornado. Looked sweet and the simplest cleanest install with a Kingtech and smoke sytem on board.
My camera card ran out during their flight but it flew very well and very fast as Henry rang it out. Don't know how they do it for a $450 or so airframe.

I agree that thing is beautiful. I saw it yesterday when Henry was flying it and the first flight was good, but the second he really lit the fire to the burner. It was awesome it was a rocket. I have one of the first Tornado but this one is spectaculer it is so clean with all the servo's inside that it looks like so slippery. Great Job guys. I cant wait to see more this weekend.

Todays flying was a great success, the weather was kind, windy, but almost no rain all day and some great flying took place here are some pix of the aircraft in todays meet , Ali machinsky was worth watching. with Hawk and Chuck Storey's A10,, as were Boli Muentes, with Tucano and smoke, Pablo Fernandez with the ME 163 Komet and anything else that anyone would let him fly, Bob Fiorenze had his Tomcat and T 38 Talon , both electric powered ,the BVM team with 10 airplanes, Rei Gonzalez with a brand new BVM F4 with twin EVF's that flew very well..in fact it was like the good old days ... thoroughly enjoyable all day.. A few more and too many names to mention but seen flying were Glen Grant, Starvin Marvin from the Makos, even the "boss" Luchio was seen waggling the sticks, as were Aidrian and Lukey with their new Tucano, even the panamanian mafia had come all the way from down south to attend,, lets hope the weather stays kind for the Sunday flyers... all in all a very good first time meeting..........so far......not one crash....... fingers crossed...Mk
