I have recently been given an old Shuttle Z that is in pretty good condition. I upgraded the reciever to a Spektrum 6ch. 2.4ghz and it seems to be working the controls properly as far as I can tell. I have a stupid question. I am pretty sure that the previous owner had some type of a crash and has had the thing apart and back together again. I have been having some stability issues when I get it spun up fast enough to almost leave the ground and hover. I checked the tracking and it is in track. I have no bad vibrations when it is up to speed it runs very smooth. I have looked at the manual I found online that is for the Z, ZX and ZXX models. In every picture in the manual it shows the flybar under the main blades. The main blades are on the top of the main shaft in the book. On my Shuttle Z the flybar is on the top... Why? Is it supposed to be the other way around?

I need to find someone in the Minneapolis area to help me with this thing that has an idea of what they are doing or it will be a short flight once I do get it off the ground. I have a little Blade Msr that I have set my Dx6i to use with it, but the old Shuttle is a bit more than I can do on my own.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions,

Jason

I guess its too stupid of a question or there is just no hope for me as I see 8 people have looked at my post and no replies. I see the one poor guy has almost 400 people that have looked at his post and no one bothered to say anything to him either. I guess I will try somewhere else or I might just say f it and try and fly the damn thing the way it is.

Wow My Shuttle has  blades on top.
To answer you would only be a guess on my part but you probably have an aftermarket rotor head on your Shuttle .
I would set it up and fly it and have fun.

You do not have a Shuttle Z but an earlier model which is either the original or an NS Mk2 version.
