okay cool thanks. after reading your review thread, i think i may as well get a 200mah 11.1v losi lipo if they perform better than the zippys (based on what one of the replies you got said)...a little pricey but i guess i could take good care of them so they last long.

unless these fit, but they seem a little too large.

Yeah you could go with the genuine lipos I guess, just a little to expensive for my taste though.

yeah they are quite expensive. gonna have to think about it though. besides, im not going to buy 3 lipos at once; im only going to buy 1 and then buy another when that 1 goes bad.

ran the Micro SCT today with the new brass pinion. it was a pain to install, but worked great once i got it on there. my fears about motor temps are true though. using my new infared thermometer (which will be reviewed), after just 10 minutes of running inside the motor mount screws were reading over 170 degrees. can't imagine what the actaul temp was inside the motor.

yeah, with the brushed. no BL yet i'm afraid. just can't justify spending $65 on something that small, but i'm sure i will sooner or later...

Got mine the other day, haven't got the steering sorted yet, was planing to use a old micro servo I've got, but can't find it.
Only down side the brass pinions don't fit the motor. The motor shaft is shorter but it's also thiner.... Grrrr

Not entirely happy with the combo, so expensive for what, a 3a esc with 9 amp punch.... And it's slow for the punch to kick in

are you saying that the BL combo isn't that great? because if i'm gonna put $65 more into this thing, i better be getting my money's worth out of it. i've seen some people put in HK 25a ESCs paired with the Losi motor. all you have to do is take the big ESC out of the case to get it to fit i think and then solder it to the motor since the wire sizes would be way different. it would probably end up only being like $10-15 cheaper though, so probably not worth it.

It feels like there is a big delay with the power, it takes off then the power comes on... Like a turbo. Then it starts getting wheel spin..
With the bigger systems in my other cars they have wheel spin from the word go. Inside up against a wall it can't even spin up the wheels from a stand still, it just cogs. Maybe it really needs the 3s battery to get that needed power.

Tempted to try this on the motor

•High rate PWM
•Low resistence
•Sixteen cells Max (with BEC disabled)
•User programmable brake
•Low voltage auto setting based on battery
•Throttle range self-adjusting
•Soft start ramp up
•Auto motor cutoff with reset
•Runs motor in forward or reverse
•Safe power arming program ensures motor will not run accidentally after turn on
•Low torque start
•Auto shut down when signal is lost
•Constant Current: 30A
•Input Volt: 6V - 12V
•Max Current: 40A
•Low-Voltage Cutoff: Auto detect and set
•Size: 56mm x 24mm x 8.5mm
•Weight: 26g( Net Weight )

Hi Thinking of getting the micro brushless rally or sct i am undecided.. do they drive and jump the same?
I don't know but by seeing photos the rally looks like it has larger tires ...does it? and does the rally have more ground clearance?
pros cons of both would be great

THANKS
Shen

I finally got in my 8750kv BL setup for mine. It's super small! I will be reviewing the system after I get some testing in with it which might be a while since I'm waiting on my 3 wire servo from China.

I've only got a SCT but I'm building a rally out of spare parts

As far as I know the tyres are the same overall size but different rims size and profile.
The chassis are exactly the same with same ground clearance, they have different bumpers and body mounts tho.
I would say the SCT would be more capable because of how much higher the body sits and the front skid plate helps it bounce over rocks, where the rally would problary catch on the front lip of the body or the dead straight bumper bar
