Everything is very easy to setup if you have the docking base and an ipod/iphone. Otherwise, not so much... And no I don't have any plans for telemetry currently.

Does anybody know what if of any 11.1 lipo that fits battery compartment w/o mods?
2 cell is plenty power for me and I got the protek 240 which just fits in.
Height seems to be be biggest problem since connector is too large to fit sideways in the end.

Thanks!  The 7.4 lipos I got are less than $8.00
so  $ 35.00 feels expensive at the same time I almost have to get it to check out the power
which seems ridiculus on youtube at least.

Boy, I think I f.u the esc unit by connecting the battery wrong (short) shouldn't be able to happen but....
I wonder why they charge so much (losi) for their esc unit?
You can buy a spektrum radio/reciever and a seperate escfor just a little more then again it's convinient.
I don't know if the losi unit is considered good and worth the money.
Also thinking about getting the composite chassis for better access not to mention more flexibility with battery.
Oh, and ofcourse 10250 motor with larger pinion, almost want lower the torque and get more top speed
Before you know it you're in to it for hundreds ha ha, it's an inexpensive setup no matter what though I think
considering the funfactor.

I actually did a review of the Losi system (I'm a writer): http://www.modelkits.com/radio-controlled-kits/losi-micro-8750kv-brushless-system-review.html

Already had the bl system from start. I think the motor survived so I'm set there.
$ 70 for a little circuit.. half the cost of the complete RTR I got, rip off.
Does the losi 2.4 radio bind to any 2ch new reciever?
Wonder what causes the delay like has been mentioned in thread earlie, what's the culprit?
the esc? I might as well take the money and by a different reciever and esc and upgrade in that case.
Any other suggestions on a reciever and esc.
Btw buying the same chassis coversion you got terminator, can't resist.

Anybody knows if you have to go into gearbox(es) if you want to remove driveshaft?
I am replacing spur gear for a 59t aluminum gear.

The Biggest update is its now sporting a new receiver, Its got the traxxas Tqi reciver with telemetry. Ive connected up a sensor for motor temp aswell as one for mesuring the battery voltage. darn cool little peice of hardware if u ask me

Over the last few weeks ive been replacing the suspension parts with the ginuwine Losi alloy parts, slowly getting there...

Hey all. Having some problems with my SCT. Mine originally started out as the brushed version. I ordered the Losi brushless conversion combo with the 8750kv motor from The Toyz and installed it yesterday. I also ordered a new 4.8v 220mah Nimh battery. I got everything hooked up and bound to my TX. Now it's slower than the brushed setup and cogs horribly. Battery is fully charged and everything was setup per the instructions. It will run slowly for about 2 or 3 feet then completely stop and will not start moving again until it sits for a minute or so. Steering still works when it's stopped. It doesn't seem like it's radio problems as I still have full control at all times but not 100% sure. I also have it bound to my DX3S radio system if that info helps. My battery voltage read 5.5v when this problem occurred, I also tried my older battery which read the same voltage and had the same problem.

it sounds like your not getting enough voltage from the stock 4.8 battery . have you tried a 2s lipo ? although it should run on the stock 4.8 volt

That's what I was thinking due to the excessive cogging but wasn't for sure. I do have a 2s lipo from a small helicopter that should be enough just for testing purposes but there is no way it will fit in the battery tray. Just spooling it up will give me the answers I need. It also has the small red JST connector on it, will it work with the white one on the truck? It cogs so bad even holding the wheels off the ground, set it on the ground and she's a no go with the NIMH. You are correct though, theoretically it should run with this battery seeing as how they come stock with it.

The current gearing in it is the 12 tooth pinion that came on the motor, but I do have the smaller spur on it. My other question is how in the heck do you get these pinions off and on? Do I need a pinion puller or something? Also is anyone else running their truck with the DX3S radio, is there any known problems with that?

If all else fails I can always just throw the stock motor back in and run it till it pukes.

This system is known for clogging unfortunately. Mine even on a 3s had trouble sometimes of it wasn't charged fully. A lot of it also had to do with that the stock ESC doesn't give it full power on start up. This is why some guys ate going with aftermarket ESCs.

Thanks for the help fellas. I'll keep messing around with it. Does 5.5V sound right for the stock pack fully charged? On my Hyperion charger I only have the option to charge it at 200mah, it goes in steps of 100mah apart I can't set it to exactly 220mah for the stock pack so I'm wondering if maybe it's cutting the charge off early. The toyz has some thunder power 2s lipos for $13 I may try one if I can't get these NIMH's to power it.
